About the Role
Definitive Healthcare is building a market-leading digital audience business that enables healthcare brands, agencies, and platforms to activate high-quality HCP and consumer (DTC) audiences across the AdTech ecosystem. We are hiring a Solutions Consultant, Digital Audiences to sit alongside our Life Sciences sales team and grow digital audience revenue inside our existing customer base.
This is a hybrid role: part commercial seller, part practitioner-level expert in healthcare audience strategy and activation. Time is split roughly evenly between internal and external work. Internally, you’ll identify prospects and work with Account Executives to set up meetings and qualify digital audience opportunities across their accounts. Externally, you lead audience strategy conversations with pharma, biotech, medical device, and diagnostics marketers - translating their commercial objectives into targeting, activation, and measurement approaches our platform can deliver.
This is not an overlay or post-sale support function. You carry a number, you are measured on the revenue you help create, and you are expected to be in accounts and in deals. This is a highly cross-functional role working with Sales, Product, Digital Operations, Enablement, and Marketing.
What You’ll Do
Generate and Advance Pipeline
- Work account lists with Life Sciences Account Executives to identify and prioritize digital audience opportunities and contribute directly to a shared revenue target.
- Join account planning sessions and shape the audience strategy inside each customer growth plan.
- Run joint prospecting - outreach, discovery meetings, and customer workshops - to open conversations sellers cannot open alone.
- Map new buyers beyond our traditional contacts: brand and digital marketing leads, media and omnichannel teams, and the budgets they control.
- Maintain a qualified, forecastable pipeline of audience opportunities in the CRM.
Lead Customer Strategy
- Act as the audience authority in front of customers, consulting with their marketing, media, commercial, and analytics stakeholders on targeting and activation approaches.
- Build audience recommendations and campaign strategies with the Digital Operations team, tied to the customer’s stated brand or portfolio objectives.
- Frame our audience and activation capabilities credibly against agency, data provider, and DSP alternatives - including where we integrate rather than compete.
- Bring recurring customer needs and competitive gaps back to Product as structured input to the roadmap.
Drive Deals to Close
- Own the audience workstream of a deal from discovery through signature, while the Account Executive owns the overall relationship and commercial close.
- Design the solution and build the supporting business case, proposal content, and pricing rationale.
- Present to customer stakeholders and clear the technical, measurement, and procurement objections that stall audience deals.
Raise the Team’s Capability
- Coach Account Executives on digital audience products, use cases, buyer identification, and qualification criteria until they can lead the first conversation without you.
- Work with product marketing to playbooks, discovery guides, competitive positioning, and win stories.
- Deliver ongoing training as products, data assets, and the media landscape change.
What You'll Bring
Required
- 5–8 years in digital media, audience strategy, or marketing technology, including time in a commercial, quota-carrying, or client-facing role.
- Hands-on command of digital activation: audience segmentation and targeting, programmatic buying, DSPs and DMPs, identity resolution, and campaign measurement.
- Experience selling to or working for life sciences marketers - pharma, biotech, medical device, or diagnostics - and familiarity with how brand, HCP, and omnichannel budgets are set and defended.
- A consultative approach: you can run a discovery conversation with a marketing leadership team and leave with a defensible strategy, not a feature list.
- Credibility with sellers. You are someone Account Executives want in the room, and you coach without taking over.
- Comfort with ambiguity and ownership - this role is being built, not inherited.
Preferred
- Working knowledge of healthcare data - claims, EHR, prescriber, and provider affiliation - and how it supports audience building.
- Understanding of HIPAA, privacy-safe targeting, and the pharmaceutical medical, legal, and regulatory review process (MLR).
- Agency, publisher, or health-media background, particularly in HCP or DTC campaign delivery.
- Experience in a team-selling or specialist-seller model at a SaaS or data company.
Compensation and Benefits
The salary range for this position is $128,800 – $193,200 per year, which represents the base pay the company reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this role. Actual pay within this range will be determined based on factors such as relevant experience, skills, and qualifications.
