The Role… 

At Soho House, the Works Manager ensures that the building and its facilities are safe, functional, and maintained to a high standard for all members and visitors. This role is hands-on and service-driven, balancing technical maintenance oversight with creating a smooth, professional experience for members. 

You will lead the onsite maintenance and cleaning teams, manage external contractors, and ensure the property operates efficiently and safely every day.

Key duties…

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the building, including maintenance, cleaning, security, and overall facilities management. 
• Supervise and lead the operations and maintenance teams, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard. 
• Plan, implement, and monitor Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedules and reactive maintenance tasks. 
• Liaise with contractors, vendors, and suppliers to ensure timely, cost-effective, and quality service delivery. 
• Conduct regular inspections and walkthroughs to maintain safety, presentation, and operational standards. 
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, work orders, compliance, and asset registers. 
• Ensure health, safety, fire, and building regulations are fully complied with at all times. 
• Coordinate with community managers and front-of-house teams to minimize disruption to members during maintenance or events. 
• Support sustainability initiatives, energy efficiency programs, and waste management practices. 
• Respond promptly to emergencies, breakdowns, or urgent issues, providing a professional and effective resolution. 

What we are looking for...

• Proven experience as a Works Manager, Facilities Manager, or similar role in a commercial, co-working, or hospitality environment. 
• Experience managing teams, contractors, and service providers. 
• Excellent organisational, planning, and problem-solving skills. 
• Strong communication and leadership abilities. 
• Understanding of health & safety, fire safety, and compliance requirements
