This position is a hybrid role open to candidates in the greater Tampa Bay area. The ideal candidate will work in our Clearwater, FL office 3 days per week.
Dates of Program: January 25th, 2027 - April 16th, 2027 (12 weeks)

The Software Engineer Intern will assist in developing new and exciting products for KnowBe4’s customers, collaborating with other engineers in a fast-paced, agile development environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Write well-designed, efficient, and testable code.
- Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade existing systems.
- Work on software documentation and participate in code reviews.
- Develops software using the KnowBe4 Software Development Lifecycle and Agile Methodologies
Learning Objectives:
- Understand how a feature moves from idea to production on a professional engineering team
- Learn to navigate unfamiliar codebases and ask effective questions when stuck
- Develop judgment about code quality, including readability, maintainability, and testing
- See how engineering decisions affect customers, especially in security awareness
- Strengthen communication skills, such as sharing progress, flagging blockers, and receiving feedback
- Collaborate with engineers in a fast-paced environment to deliver features for KnowBe4's customers

Training:

Minimum Qualifications:
- Proficiency in the python programming language
- Proficiency in writing SQL
- Understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle
Education:
- Must be a Junior or Senior candidate
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent
