We are looking for a motivated Software Engineer I with at least 1 year of professional software development experience. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who is passionate about development, eager to learn, and excited about building products for a cloud hosting company.
The candidate should have a strong foundation in either ReactJS or PHP/Laravel and an interest in developing into a well-rounded full-stack engineer. We are looking for a go-getter who takes ownership, solves problems proactively, and is willing to work across different parts of the technology stack.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and maintain reliable and scalable software features.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-structured code.
- Collaborate with product, design, QA, and engineering teams.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and contribute to their timely resolution.
- Participate in code reviews and follow engineering best practices.
- Learn and contribute across frontend, backend, databases, and cloud infrastructure.
- Take ownership of assigned tasks and deliver them within agreed timelines.
- Continuously improve technical knowledge and development skills.
Required Experience
- Minimum 1 year of professional software development experience.
- Good understanding of software development fundamentals.
- Strong coding and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to learn quickly and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Passion for software development and cloud hosting technologies.
- Interest in developing into a full-stack engineer.
- Proactive, responsible, and willing to take ownership.
Option 1: ReactJS
- Good hands-on experience with ReactJS and JavaScript.
- Understanding of React components, hooks, state management, and application lifecycle.
- Experience working with REST APIs.
- Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and responsive web development.
- Understanding of frontend performance and browser compatibility.
- Familiarity with TypeScript is a plus.
Option 2: PHP/Laravel
- Good hands-on experience with PHP and the Laravel framework.
- Understanding of object-oriented programming and MVC architecture.
- Experience developing and integrating REST APIs.
- Knowledge of Laravel routing, middleware, authentication, queues, and database migrations.
- Ability to write clean, reusable, and maintainable backend code.
- Familiarity with automated testing in Laravel is a plus.
Secondary Skills
- Working knowledge of Git and GitHub.
- Good understanding of MySQL and relational databases.
- Familiarity with API development and integration.
- Basic understanding of Linux and command-line tools.
- Some knowledge of cloud infrastructure, hosting platforms, networking, containers, or deployment processes would be an advantage.
- Familiarity with Docker, CI/CD, or automated testing is a plus.
