The Role

Your role
Bring your specialist knowledge and experience to a company managing 50% of the world’s MIPS and play a critical role in our modernization mission. You’ll be in good company among our global community of experts leading the future of mainframe modernization. Experts who share knowledge openly and collaborate freely.

A Full Stack developer in Kyndryl, is a person who has good experience in application development, support and modernization. Person will mentor and coach junior developers in the application development team and will have responsibilities as defined in role description and responsibilities section below.
What you will do

Responsibilities
Develop and maintain applications using Java, Spring Boot, J2EE, and MSSQL.
Provide L2 production support for containerized applications, ensuring adherence to SLA requirements.
Troubleshoot and resolve application, API, database, and production issues.
Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement permanent fixes for recurring incidents.
Support deployments, releases, and application configuration in Docker/OpenShift/Kubernetes environments.
Monitor application health, analyze logs, and resolve performance bottlenecks.
Collaborate with business, infrastructure, and DevOps teams during incident and release management activities.
Maintain technical documentation, knowledge articles, and operational runbooks.

Who You Are

Required skills and experience

6+ years of experience in Java/J2EE application development and AMS support.
Strong expertise in Java latest version, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and Microservices Architecture.
Hands-on experience with MSSQL, including query optimization, stored procedures, and performance tuning.
Experience with development of containerized applications deployed on Docker /Kubernetes.
Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills in distributed microservices environments.
Experience with Git, Maven/Gradle, and CI/CD pipelines.
Knowledge of application servers such as Tomcat, JBoss, or WebLogic.
Understanding of Incident, Problem, Change, and Release Management processes.
Good to have - Familiarity with monitoring and log analysis tools such as Splunk, Dynatrace, AppDynamics, ELK, or Grafana.

Strong communication skills, as this role would demand direct client interactions experience:

Educational Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related discipline.
• Master's Degree preferred but not mandatory.
