Help shape the future of security investigations. You will build cloud-based services and AI-powered capabilities that help customers search, analyze, and act on security data at scale. From concept to production, you'll contribute to solutions used across the Genetec ecosystem.

You'll join a growing Vienna-based engineering team with a high degree of ownership and autonomy. We work closely across functions and locations, value knowledge sharing, and encourage engineers to actively influence both product and technical decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and evolve hybrid solutions that connect Genetec’s on-premises and SaaS products.
- Develop backend services and APIs primarily with .NET or Go.
- Design data integrations and pipelines for multiple security data types.
- Build investigation workflows across Genetec products.
- Develop multi-domain search, analytics, and movement-analysis capabilities.
- Integrate AI capabilities such as natural-language search, computer vision, semantic search, summarization, anomaly detection, and recommendations.
- Productionize and maintain models delivered by research teams through the Genetec ML Platform.
- Design for hybrid constraints such as data locality, bandwidth, retention, security, reliability, and scale.
- Work with Product, UX, QA, Security, AI, and other engineering teams to shape solutions and deliver customer value.
- Contribute to architecture, technical design, testing, CI/CD, observability, and production operations.
- Participate in paid on-call and incident response.
- Share knowledge and contribute to an innovative engineering culture.

What you bring
- Strong professional experience with either Go or C#/.NET. You do not need both.
- Experience designing and building APIs and production software.
- Strong SQL and data-modelling skills.
- Experience writing maintainable, tested code and participating in code reviews.
- Familiarity with standard development practices including Git and CI/CD.
- A pragmatic problem-solving mindset and the ability to work independently.
- Professional proficiency in spoken and written English.
- An interest in building products that solve complex customer problems.
Nice to have
- Experience with Azure or another cloud platform.
- Experience with hybrid, distributed, or on-premises systems.
- Experience with data pipelines, search, analytics, or large-scale integrations.
- Experience productionizing AI or ML models.
- Familiarity with containers, infrastructure as code, security engineering, or observability.
- Experience with security, video, or other data-intensive enterprise products.
- React and TypeScript experience. Frontend development is optional for this role.

The salary range for this position is above the collective agreement and, depending on training, qualifications, and professional experience, starts from EUR 55,000.00 gross annually.
