Liquid Personnel is recruiting a Children’s Social Worker to join its client’s Looked After Children team, based in Torbay.
What will your responsibilities be?
- Caseload Expectations: Typically, 20–24 cases, including a mix of complex Child in Need (CIN), Child Protection (CP), and assessments
- Remote Working: Office attendance is expected up to three times per week. During duty weeks, full-time office presence is required. Remote working is permitted but staff must remain available to respond to crisis situations and Section 47 enquiries
- Supervision: Frequency varies by team; for example, in my team, supervision is held fortnightly
- Progression Opportunities: Pathways exist for career development and permanent roles
- Travel Requirements: Candidates must be able to travel across Torbay and occasionally out of county to visit children placed outside the area
- Duty Rota: Teams cover duty one full week every three weeks
- Contract Length: Long-term placement
Benefits - Accommodation Allowance: £150 per week
Qualifications and Experience:
To be successful in this role you must have;
- Social Work England registration
- Eligible to work in the UK
- Hold a full UK driving licence
- Post-qualified experience
- Degree level or equivalent in Social Work
