Service Delivery Manager – On-Wing Services, Aftermarket Operations

As Service Delivery Manager, you will lead the operational delivery of On-Wing Services across a global network of approved Part 145 suppliers and internal Rolls-Royce mechanics, acting as the accountable leader for service performance, customer relationships, and commercial outcomes. You will own the end-to-end delivery of engine maintenance events, ensuring aircraft are returned to service safely, on time, and in line with contractual commitments.

This is a high-visibility leadership role at the intersection of technical operations, supplier management, customer delivery, and commercial performance - suited to someone who combines deep aerospace knowledge with the ability to lead teams, manage complexity, and drive continuous improvement across a dynamic, global, 24/7 environment.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

• Service Delivery & Resource Management: You will hold overall accountability for the performance of On-Wing Services operations across all delivery channels, ensuring maintenance events are planned, resourced, and executed to the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency. You will maintain strategic oversight of manpower, tooling, and logistics capacity across the full supplier network and internal mechanic roster, ensuring the right resource (internal or external) is matched to each job based on capability, location, availability, and cost. You will set clear performance expectations, lead operational reviews, and intervene decisively when delivery is at risk.

• Customer & Stakeholder Engagement: You will serve as the primary senior point of contact for the On-Wing Services for British Airways & Virgin Atlantic as part of their “Below the Pylon” services, building trusted relationships that underpin long-term commercial partnerships. You will manage expectations proactively, provide timely updates on job status and emerging risks, and resolve escalations with confidence and professionalism. You will represent Rolls-Royce On-Wing Services during customer reviews.

• Supplier Network Performance & Development: You will oversee the performance and development of Rolls-Royce's global Part 145 supplier network - including partners such as HAECO, SIAEC, STS Aviation, and Storm Aviation - holding all delivery partners accountable to Rolls-Royce performance, quality, and compliance standards. You will lead structured supplier reviews, manage non-conformances through appropriate governance channels, and drive the long-term development and expansion of network capability to meet evolving customer demand.

• Safety, Compliance & Continuous Improvement: You will champion a culture of safety and regulatory compliance across all operations and supplier partners, ensuring full adherence to UKCAA/EASA, Part 145, and Rolls-Royce standards at every stage of delivery. You will support audit readiness, contribute to investigations into non-conformances or safety events, and champion a structured continuous improvement programme - translating lessons learned and performance data into tangible enhancements to process, network capability, and customer outcomes. You will also lead, coach, and develop your team of technical planners and operational staff, ensuring they have the skills, tools, and frameworks to manage a complex global operation consistently and at pace.

Key Requirements

You will bring substantial experience in a operational or service delivery role within the aerospace or aviation MRO sector, with a strong working knowledge of On-Wing or line maintenance operations. You will have a proven track record of managing complex customer relationships, leading multidisciplinary teams, and delivering against demanding commercial and operational targets across a multi-supplier environment. Experience within a Part 145 regulatory framework and familiarity with global MRO supplier networks - including partners such as HAECO, SIAEC, STS Aviation, or Storm Aviation - would be a significant advantage.
