We are looking for an SEO & GEO Strategy Lead to play a pivotal role in our growing team, driving how we approach search visibility across both traditional search engines and emerging AI platforms. The role will sit across our Distribution offering, working closely with Editorial, Growth, Retainer and Performance teams to embed SEO and GEO best practice across our client work.
You will drive modern approaches to search and AI visibility, combining strong SEO foundations with emerging GEO expertise to shape strategies, measurement frameworks and content opportunities. You’ll also provide a high level of consultancy, helping both clients and internal teams understand and respond to the rapidly evolving search landscape.
Key Responsibilities
- You will have a deep understanding of how content influences consumer behaviour and engagement, and the ability to track SEO, GEO and AI search trends, translating developments into actionable frameworks and recommendations for relevant teams – including Editorial, Growth and Retainer.
- As part of our agency Search and Social Framework, you will work closely with Leads across Audience Behaviour, PR and Culture to represent our AI and Search function.
- You will work closely with our internal account teams, supporting with search insights that help inform monthly content calendars, proposals and campaigns. Regular outputs which would benefit from SEO insights and guidance include: monthly social content, web articles, influencer and PR activity.
- As well as translating AI citation gaps and competitor GEO benchmarking into prioritised content opportunities, embedding GEO requirements across Content, Editorial and Performance teams.
- Likewise, you’ll partner with the Growth team on new business and pitches, selling this offering for the agency.
- Define and track GEO as a standalone acquisition channel – including impressions, citations and referral attribution – building measurement frameworks, reporting cadences and ongoing LLM prompt testing/citation audits to validate performance and catch regressions.
- Report on the performance of SEO and AI visibility changes and campaigns, sharing insights, learnings and success stories with relevant stakeholders to encourage continued optimisation.
- You will have the ability to work cross-teams and with senior stakeholders to effectively convey complex SEO and GEO analysis, providing consultancy on best practice, defining processes, developing learning materials and articulating the role content plays within wider online visibility and acquisition strategies.
- Good understanding of Digital PR and how earned media, backlinks and brand mentions contribute to SEO and AI search visibility, with the ability to identify opportunities and work with PR teams to improve performance
Requirements
Essential:
- In-depth experience with a variety of SEO and analytics tools (e.g., Google Search Console, Google Trends, Meltwater GenAI Lens, Adobe Analytics, SEMrush, SEO rank trackers).
- The ability to assess and recommend tools we should be utilising as agency standard.
- Experience with measurement frameworks and attribution
- Cross-team collaboration and integration
