About the location:

Sensei Lāna’i, A Four Seasons Resort offers a luxurious adults-only wellness enclave on the secluded Hawaiian island of Lāna‘i. Unmatched hospitality, reputable specialists and natural beauty combine to offer a completely customized experience to discover one’s greatest well-being. At the heart of it all is the Sensei Way, an evidence-led approach integrating healthy living practices into three simple paths – Move, Nourish and Rest. Guided by highly trained practitioners in areas such as exercise physiology, nutrition, stress management, yoga and mindfulness, each stay is unique – itineraries are comprised from a selection of wellness classes, spa treatments, a range of island activities and world-class golf and tennis facilities complemented by nourishing and delicious dining by Nobu. The resort’s 10 spa hales are luxurious, Japanese-inspired oases of calm, each one featuring an ofuro bathtub, infrared sauna, steam, indoor and outdoor showers, oversized massage tables, private plunge pools and cozy lounging areas.

SERVER 

Sensei Lāna’i, A Four Seasons Resort is looking for passionate individuals, where you will create exceptional guest experiences, showcase your expertise and enthusiasm, and embody the Golden Rule in every interaction.     

 

The Server provides warm, attentive service by welcoming guests, guiding them through the dining experience, and ensuring all needs are met with professionalism and care. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:     

• Guide guests through menu selections with detailed knowledge of food, beverages, preparation methods, and restaurant offerings. 

• Accurately enter orders and special requests into the POS system while coordinating with the kitchen to ensure timely and accurate service. 

• Verify and deliver food and beverage orders, ensuring quality standards and dietary requirements are met. 

• Anticipate guest needs, provide thoughtful recommendations, and promptly resolve questions, concerns, and special requests. 

• Maintain reservation and guest information accurately while supporting seamless service flow. 

• Perform attentive table service, including water service, clearing, resetting, and maintaining dining areas to restaurant standards. 

• Process guest checks, cash and credit card transactions, and authorized adjustments in accordance with established procedures. 

• Assist with opening, closing, cleaning, and setup of dining rooms and service stations to ensure operational readiness. 

• Foster a warm, welcoming atmosphere while consistently upholding luxury hospitality and service standards.

WHAT TO BRING 

• Successful candidate must possess legal work authorization in United States legal work authorization in United States 

• The hospitality business functions seven (7) days a week, twenty-four (24) hours a day and scheduled days and times may vary based on need. Holidays and weekends availability is required. 

• Required by the Hawaii State Department of Health to obtain a Tuberculous (TB) clearance card   

• Hawaii Food Handler’s Card is required for this role 

• Maui Liquor Card preferred, but not required  

• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and push/pull as needed during shifts
