Position Summary

This position plays an important role within the West Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) function, working closely with and reporting to senior ERM leadership. The West ERM function is part of the Chief Risk Officer team, which in turn is part of the Chief Legal Officer group.

The ERM role is responsible for coordinating and facilitating enterprise risk assessments, workshops, and calibration sessions; maintaining high-quality risk reporting and analytics; and ensuring that risk mitigation initiatives are well-understood, actively tracked, and communicated with discipline across a large, complex, multinational organization. The successful candidate is a business-facing ERM professional who works with a high degree of independence across functions and business units to advance the ERM program and support effective risk-informed decision-making at all levels of the organization. The role also provides secondary support for Business Continuity Planning (BCP), Crisis Playbook Development, and other risk resilience activities.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and facilitate enterprise risk workshops, calibration sessions, and risk assessment cycles across business units and functions.
  • Maintain enterprise risk registers, ensuring risk profiles are current, accurately documented, and reflective of the evolving risk landscape.
  • Track risk mitigation initiative status, ownership, and progress across the enterprise and communicate updates to relevant stakeholders.
  • Prepare and maintain high-quality enterprise risk reports and dashboards for senior leadership and governance committees.
  • Support development and presentation of executive- and Board-level presentation materials.
  • Research and analyze emerging risks and contribute to emerging risk briefings and assessments.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with risk owners and business partners across functions and geographies.
  • Apply structured project management practices to ERM workstreams to keep activities organized and on schedule.
  • Support resilience activities to include BCP, development of crisis management playbooks, and related risk resilience frameworks.
  • Contribute to ERM program improvement initiatives, governance activities, and special projects as directed.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required; preferred concentrations in Business, Finance, Risk Management, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 2 years of progressive experience in ERM, management consulting, internal audit, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience facilitating risk workshops or structured risk-analytical processes with cross-functional stakeholder groups.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple concurrent priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to translate complex risk concepts into clear narratives for senior and Board-level audiences.
  • Proven ability to engage and influence stakeholders across organizational levels without direct authority.
  • Experience in a large, complex global or multinational organization strongly preferred.
  • Working knowledge of ERM frameworks (e.g., COSO, ISO 31000); familiarity with BCP principles a plus.
  • Ability to travel as needed.  Principal responsibilities typically involve minimal travel (1-3 domestic trips per year).  Secondary responsibilities may involve more travel on a temporary basis.

Nice to have:

  • Fluent in Spanish and/or Portuguese a plus.
