Sobre este puesto de Senior Technical Program Manager, Data Center Build and Design en TensorWave
About TensorWave
Our mission is simple: deliver seamless, secure, reliable, and resilient AI compute at scale. We've built a versatile cloud platform that eliminates infrastructure barriers, empowering builders to focus on innovation instead of fighting their stack. Because breakthrough AI should move at the speed of ideas, not infrastructure.
About the Role
The Senior Technical Program Manager, Data Center Build and Design role is the program management seat for how TensorWave delivers a single, high-stakes campus.
You will be the dedicated Technical Program Manager anchored to one of our largest data centers, a 100 MW or above deployment carrying a significant share of our committed capacity. You run the thirteen gate delivery framework for that site end to end: site qualification, basis of design, design freeze, permitting and long lead commitment, construction mobilization, substantial completion, energization, commissioning, turnover to operations, and into revenue service. Where the Director owns the framework and the portfolio view across every site, you own the day to day truth of delivery on the site in front of you.
You own the program on your site: the integrated schedule, the cross-functional dependencies, the gate packages, the risk register, and the honest status your Director and the executive team can act on without re-verifying it. This is a maximum leverage, minimum direct authority role. Your influence comes from cadence, written discipline, and being the person on site whose read on the schedule everyone trusts.
What You’ll Do
Phase gate execution. Run the thirteen gate delivery structure for your assigned campus, across every active data hall or delivery phase on that site. Gate package quality, review cadence, three outcome discipline (pass, conditional pass with a dated owner, or hold with a scheduled re-review), and conditional pass tracking to closure. No waived gates, including turnover acceptance by Operations.
Site-level integrated schedule. Own the design and build layer of the integrated schedule for your campus: critical path logic, gate milestones, interlocks between whitespace design and facility design freeze, long lead procurement commitments, and fit-out sequencing in completed zones. Produce site status that rolls up cleanly into the portfolio view the Director and executive leadership rely on.
General contractor and colocation partner coordination. Hold the general contractor, landlord, and vendor bench on your site to scope, schedule, and deliverable quality day to day. Manage the interface milestone discipline for colocation sites, where early gates are landlord controlled but readiness reviews, acceptance, and service readiness are not.
On-site risk and issue management. Maintain the risk register and decision log for your campus. Identify delivery blockers early, drive them to resolution at your level, and escalate to the Director with options and a recommendation attached when a blocker requires portfolio level or executive intervention.
Cross-functional coordination. Be the single point of coordination between Construction Engineering and Design, MEP Engineering, Network, and Operations for everything happening on your site, so each function sees one integrated plan rather than five disconnected ones.
Feeding the playbook. Capture cycle time data per gate on your site, flag what worked and what did not while it is fresh, and feed lessons back into the Director and the shared delivery playbook so the next site benefits from what you learned on this one.
Who You Are
Required Qualifications
5 to 8 years in technical program management or delivery roles, with direct, hands-on ownership of data center design and construction delivery.
Experience taking at least one large scale data center or multi-phase campus from design through commissioning and into service.
Working fluency with stage gate delivery governance: written entry criteria, gate packages, and decision records rather than status meetings alone.
Personal fluency in schedule logic at Primavera P6 grade or equivalent, critical path analysis, risk register discipline, and decision logs. You do not delegate the truth of the schedule to someone else.
Working depth across data center infrastructure: power architecture (utility feeds, generators, UPS, switchgear, PDU, busway), cooling including liquid cooling for high density deployments, structured cabling and fiber plant, and commissioning level structures from factory acceptance through integrated systems testing.
Demonstrated ability to hold general contractors and vendors accountable without direct authority over them.
Clear, structured written and verbal communication. You escalate early, in writing, with a recommendation attached.
Expect regular travel to your assigned construction site, at minimum monthly, with extended on-site presence during energization and commissioning windows. Estimated travel is 30 to 40 percent, weighted toward critical delivery milestones.
Preferred Qualifications
CDCDP, CDCP, or equivalent formal data center certification.
Experience delivering AI density whitespace: high kW per rack halls, direct liquid cooling integration, and pod to power granularity trade-offs.
Hyperscale, GPU cloud, or AI infrastructure background, particularly inside an organization scaling through hypergrowth.
Experience with both greenfield builds and colocation tenant deployments, including landlord interface management.
Familiarity with GPU cluster deployment: rack integration, network fabric bring-up, node burn-in, and validation testing.
Candidates based near our Las Vegas or Richmond hubs are preferred.
