About the Team

The indirect tax team at Zoom delivers global VAT and indirect tax compliance, strategic tax operations, and continuous improvement across the tax function. We work collaboratively across time zones to support the company's tax obligations with accuracy and efficiency. As part of Zoom's broader finance organization, our work enables business growth by ensuring tax accuracy and operational resilience at scale.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end VAT and indirect tax compliance processes across multiple jurisdictions, from data review through submission and payment.
• Execute VAT and indirect tax accounting during month-end and quarter-end close, including controls and management checks.
• Support global e-invoicing, Continuous Transaction Controls, and digital tax reporting requirements in line with EU and international regulatory frameworks.
• Partner with tax technology teams to identify automation opportunities and deliver AI-driven process improvements across the tax function.
• Support audit responses and inquiries from tax authorities, third-party auditors, and internal teams, while assisting customer-facing teams with tax queries.
• Contribute to US indirect tax and other tax areas as needed, broadening your expertise across the global tax function.

What We're Looking For

• 4+ years of experience in indirect tax roles with multinational businesses, with demonstrated ability to manage complex, multi-jurisdictional VAT and indirect tax compliance, GL accounting, and tax advisory, or equivalent experience.
• In-house indirect tax experience preferred; Big Four experience also valued.
• Proficiency with tax technology platforms such as Oracle, Avalara, or Zuora, and experience using AI or automation to improve tax processes.
• Working knowledge of US GAAP and its application to indirect tax processes in a multinational environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce clear, comprehensive documentation; high attention to detail and accuracy across all deliverables.
• Knowledge of the telecommunications industry and its relevance to indirect tax operations.
• Exposure to US indirect tax is a plus.

Salary Range or On Target Earnings:

In addition to the base salary and/or OTE listed Zoom has a Total Direct Compensation philosophy that takes into consideration; base salary, bonus and equity value.

Note: Starting pay will be based on a number of factors and commensurate with qualifications & experience.

We also have a location based compensation structure;  there may be a different range for candidates in this and other locations
