Join our team as a Senior Surveyor - Offshore
Due to continued growth, DOF is seeking experienced Senior Surveyors to join our high-performing Survey & Inspection team on a permanent offshore basis. This is an exciting opportunity to work on major subsea and offshore projects while leading survey operations, mentoring offshore teams and ensuring the delivery of high-quality survey data across a diverse range of campaigns.
As a Senior Surveyor, you will play a critical role in the successful execution of offshore projects, overseeing survey systems, managing data quality and ensuring operations are conducted safely, efficiently, and in line with client and contractual requirements.
In this role, you will:
- Lead offshore survey operations and provide technical guidance to survey personnel.
- Coordinate survey equipment mobilisation, testing, calibration, and readiness for projects.
- Oversee data acquisition, processing workflows, quality control, and project deliverables.
- Ensure survey activities are conducted in accordance with industry standards, procedures, and best practice.
- Monitor and maintain survey equipment performance throughout project execution.
- Support project preparation, procedure development, and operational planning.
- Manage project work scopes offshore while maintaining contractual compliance and client satisfaction.
- Liaise with clients, vessel management, ROV teams, and key stakeholders.
- Ensure accurate reporting, documentation, and project handovers.
- Champion a strong HSEQ culture and uphold DOF's commitment to safe operations.
Requirements
To be successful, you will bring:
- Degree or Diploma in Hydrographic Surveying, Geomatics, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years' experience within offshore survey operations.
- Previous experience in a Senior Surveyor or similar leadership role.
- Strong understanding of survey and geomatics principles.
- Ability to lead offshore teams and manage operational priorities.
- Sound knowledge of IMCA guidelines and industry standards.
- Experience with project and vessel mobilisations.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- A demonstrated commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement.

Experience with any of the following will be highly regarded:
- EIVA software
- HiPAP and LBL systems
- AUV and ROV operations
- Diving and inspection survey activities
- MBES and geophysical surveys
- GIS and data processing
- Survey reporting and analysis
- Document management systems

Location & Roster: Offshore-based role with assignments varying based on project requirements, typically 4 to 6 weeks per deployment.
