Senior Structural Engineer

What you’ll do

As a Senior Structural Engineer in our Mining & Resources team based in Brisbane, you’ll contribute to projects and programs that make a real difference and be part of a team that embraces challenges, welcomes diverse ideas, and engineer solutions with people and outcomes in mind.  

• Deliver innovative structural engineering solutions across major bulk materials handling projects, with the opportunity to contribute to complex industrial, resources and emerging market initiatives.

• Lead projects and design packages, remaining hands-on while taking ownership of delivery and outcomes.

• Engage with clients to collectively define project scopes, develop solutions and deliver successful outcomes.

• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams across geographies to solve complex technical challenges.

• Provide technical guidance, mentoring and coaching to emerging engineers and the broader team.

What you’ll bring

• Relevant engineering qualifications and experience in Structural Engineering including RPEQ.

• Experience in mining, resources or heavy industrial infrastructure would be highly regarded, particularly across bulk materials handling facilities and associated structural assets.

• Working knowledge of engineering software such as: Spacegass, FEA (Strand 7/ANSYS), Parametric Modelling (Rhino/Grasshopper), 3D model interrogation (Navisworks/ACC).

• A track record of taking ownership and delivering practical, impactful outcomes.

• Strong communication skills and a willingness to build and maintain strong professional relationships with clients.

• The ability to see the big picture and challenge assumptions.
