We're looking for a Senior Software Engineer with deep expertise in JAVA to lead the design and development of mission-critical systems across our domain. You will play a key role in shaping technical strategy, driving architectural decisions, and mentoring engineers within a high-performing team.

You will be:
Spotting gaps or unclear requirements early and proactively reaching out to the right teams for answers;
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders to align technical solutions with business goals;
- Champion engineering best practices, including CI/CD, automated testing, and scalable design patterns;
- Balancing multiple priorities at once, new features, production issues, support requests, and releases;

Operating day-to-day within the project tools, codebase, infrastructure, and processes as part of the project team.
You will need:

5-7+ years of experience as a software engineer;

Strong experience with Java (Spring Boot), Apache Kafka, and microservices architecture;

Confidence navigating and contributing to large, unfamiliar codebases;

Solid understanding of messaging protocols and data mapping;

Financial services background would be considered as advantage;

Experience working in regulated or institutional environments;

Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins or similar);

Comfort using AI-assisted development tools;

Ability to work independently and drive things forward;

Exelent communication skills with a proactive, speak-up mindset.
Nice to have:
- React.js experience is a plus;
- FIX protocol experience;
- Experience with cloud platforms (Azure or AWS);
- Docker/containerisation experience.
