  • Establish inspection priorities and allocate departmental resources to ensure incoming materials are inspected and released in support of production schedules while maintaining quality standards.

  • Ensure Quality Technicians are accurately trained and proficient in inspection methods, precision measurement instruments, and evaluation technologies, while maintaining standardized work and certification requirements.

  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve receiving inspection efficiency, accuracy, and throughput through process improvements, technology, automation, and Lean methodologies.

  • Lead investigations of supplier and incoming material quality issues, including containment activities, identification of underlying causes, corrective actions, and preventive actions.

  • Monitor Nonconformance Report (NCR) activity to ensure timely disposition, cross-functional follow-up, and closure while identifying trends that drive systemic corrective actions.

  • Monitor receiving inspection performance metrics, identify trends, and lead initiatives that improve inspection effectiveness, supplier quality, material flow, and customer satisfaction.

YOU HAVE:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Operations, or a related technical field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Progressive quality experience in a manufacturing environment with experience leading receiving inspection, supplier quality, or quality operations.

  • Experience leading, coaching, developing, and training Quality Technicians or similar teams.

  • Understanding of receiving inspection methodologies, GD&T, blueprint reading, metrology equipment, and inspection technologies.

  • Experience developing standardized inspection plans, inspection instructions, and standardized work.

  • Strong knowledge of quality tools including Root Cause Analysis, Control Plans, FMEA, SPC, PPAP, Lean, Six Sigma, and ISO 9001 standards for quality assurance.

Preferred:

  • ASQ Certification (CQE, CMQ/OE, CQA, or similar).

  • Experience with CMMs, vision systems, or other advanced inspection technologies.

  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems and electronic quality management systems.

  • APQP, supplier development, or New Product Introduction experience.
