Position Summary

Role and Responsibilities

1. Business Strategy & Planning

• Develop and execute the annual business plan and long-term strategic roadmap aligned with corporate objectives.
• Drive business growth initiatives by identifying market opportunities, competitive trends, customer insights, and commercial risks.
• Translate business intelligence into actionable strategies that improve revenue, profitability, market share, and operational efficiency.
• Lead the annual budgeting, sales target setting, business forecasting, and management planning processes.
• Develop business scenarios and contingency plans to respond to changing market conditions.

2. Commercial Planning & Performance Management

• Lead the sales forecasting and demand planning process to improve forecast accuracy across Sell-In, Sell-Out, Order Earliness, and inventory planning.
• Ensure effective collaboration between Sales and Product Marketing to achieve consensus demand planning aligned with product launch strategies and business priorities.
• Monitor and analyze key business KPIs including revenue, market share, profitability, inventory health, sales productivity, forecast accuracy, aging stock, and channel performance.
• Consolidate business performance reports and provide meaningful insights, executive commentary, and recommendations on business risks and growth opportunities.
• Develop executive dashboards and management reports to support timely business decisions.

3. Supply Chain & Demand Planning

• Collaborate closely with Supply Chain Management (SCM), Product Marketing, Sales, and factories to ensure demand and supply alignment.
• Liaise with RHQ, HQ, and manufacturing facilities to optimize product availability while minimizing inventory risk.
• Identify underperforming areas within the supply chain through data analysis and implement corrective actions to improve operational performance.
• Drive continuous improvements in forecasting processes, inventory management, supply planning, and order fulfillment.
• Ensure all SCM KPIs are achieved in accordance with company objectives and promote SCM best practices across the organization.
• Support RHQ and HQ reporting requirements, including preparing business reports and presentations in Korean where required.
• Act as the primary liaison between local management, RHQ, HQ, and manufacturing teams to ensure alignment on planning assumptions, demand forecasts, supply strategies, and business priorities.

4. Commercial Investment & Business Governance

• Lead the planning, governance, and optimization of Total Investment Marketing (TIM) to maximize business returns.
• Develop Management Plans covering: Total Mobile revenue planning and tracking, Sales target allocation, Channel allocation.
• Budget allocation across Sales, Product Marketing, Retail, and Marketing.
• Commercial investment prioritization.
• Performance tracking and ROI analysis.

5. Cross-Functional Leadership

• Build strong partnerships across Sales, Product Marketing, SCM, Finance, Operations, Retail, Customer Service, RHQ, HQ, and manufacturing teams.

• Lead cross-functional planning meetings to align product launches, promotional activities, supply readiness, and commercial priorities.

• Resolve business issues proactively by facilitating collaboration across departments.

• Represent Business Planning in leadership meetings and strategic business projects.

6. Business Analytics & Decision Support

• Provide strategic business analysis and recommendations to senior management based on commercial, operational, and financial performance.
• Identify business risks, operational gaps, and improvement opportunities through advanced analytics.
• Develop forecasting models and business scenarios to improve planning accuracy and business agility.

7. People Leadership

• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing Business Planning team.
• Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
• Build organizational capability through coaching, succession planning, and talent development.
• Promote a data-driven mindset and encourage proactive problem-solving across the team.
• Set clear performance expectations and ensure alignment with company objectives. 

Skills and Qualifications

• Leads small teams of professionals with limited control over budget spending or HR management such as recruiting or dismissal and supervises mentoring and coaching for team members.

• Typically implements short-term action plans rather than developing policy, process or strategy.

• Enhances or Improves methods or procedures and provides coaching to team members to ensure successful outcome.

• Has expertise in most or all job areas within a job family.

• Acts independently to determine methods and procedures on new or special assignments.

• Typically requires a minimum 12 years of related experience and a Bachelor's degree, or 10 years and a Master's degree, or a PhD with 7 years experience.
