Your contribution:

As Senior Product Manager META, you will:

• Own and shape the META product, technology and brand portfolio, spanning SLI, EFB, AGM, 12V and 48V Li-ion technologies and brands including VARTA, OPTIMA, Delkor, Energizer and private label, ensuring a strong contribution to our META growth ambitions.
• Accelerate the transition to advanced battery technologies, particularly AGM and EFB, and drive delivery of META’s FY27 AGM volume and standard margin targets.
• Be the regional product and technology authority, translating market trends and distributor, OEM and OES needs into clear product strategies, priorities and solutions.
• Lead the product agenda within the Commercial & Business Development team, partnering closely with Technical Sales, Marketing & Branding and Pricing to turn technical differentiation into compelling commercial propositions.
• Connect technology with commercial opportunity, identifying portfolio gaps, growth opportunities and product initiatives that strengthen our competitive position across META.

Location: Riyadh, Saudi Arabia (META Regional Headquarters), with regular travel across the GCC and Africa

What you will do

• Build and own the META product portfolio roadmap and the brand-by-geography roadmap and the three playbooks (GCC, Türkiye and Africa).
• Define the technology mix plan by cluster (GCC, Türkiye and Near East, North-West Africa, Central and East Africa, Southern Africa) and track AGM and EFB penetration against plan.
• Adapt ranges to local needs: group sizes (BCI, DIN), CCA, RC and ampere-hour specifications, hot-climate performance and SKU rationalization by market.
• Develop business cases for new capacity and technologies: AGM and heavy-duty capacity, 12V and 48V lithium-ion, sodium-ion partnerships, supercapacitor systems, connected services and private label.
• Support the META go-market strategy and the OEM and OES strategy, including technical approvals with OEM partners, fleets and tenders.
• Support market entry in new geographies: product range, brand fit, regulatory and homologation requirements.
• Work with Pricing on the product price architecture across technology tiers and channels (OEM, OES, aftermarket distributors, fleet), defend the premium against competitors and monitor margin per unit by product and brand.
• Work with Marketing & Branding and Technical Sales on launches, product training and technology education for distributors, workshops and fleets.
• Take product requests from distributors and Sales Managers and manage them through our sources to delivery.
• Join the monthly forecast and supply sync with our sources, support demand planning, allocation of AGM and EFB, and inventory by market.
• Maintain market intelligence: market size and share by country, vehicle park and electrification trends, competitor products and prices.
• Own the product KPI dashboard (volume, technology mix, margin, share, new product sell-out) and present it in the quarterly business review.
• Support the Project MIDDLE integration on the product range.

What makes you a good fit

• University degree in engineering, business, marketing or a related field; MBA or equivalent is an advantage
• Minimum 8 years of experience in product management, marketing or commercial roles, including at least 3 years leading a regional portfolio
• Experience in the automotive aftermarket, batteries, tires or industrial components; knowledge of AGM, EFB and start-stop technology is a strong
  advantage
• Proven success launching technology products and managing a multi-brand portfolio across several countries
• Strong commercial and financial skills: pricing, margin analysis and business cases
• Knowledge of META markets, distributor models and the OEM and OES channels
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders, distributors and global teams without direct authority
• Must be able to travel 30% to 40% of the time; based in Riyadh
• English and French fluent (business proficiency); Arabic or Turkish are advantages
