We're looking for a Senior Procurement Specialist to join our growing Infrastructure Development & Delivery team.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in delivering New Zealand's transport infrastructure programme by leading procurement activity that drives value for money, manages risk, and supports successful project outcomes. You'll work alongside project leaders, delivery teams, and industry partners to help procure and deliver some of the country's most significant transport investments.
In this role, you'll:
- Lead end-to-end infrastructure procurement activity
- Develop sourcing strategies and procurement plans
- Partner with project and programme teams to deliver successful outcomes
- Contribute to stronger commercial discipline and delivery confidence across the infrastructure portfolio
This is a hands-on role where you’ll work closely with project and programme leaders, procurement colleagues, legal teams, suppliers and other public sector organisations to support effective commercial delivery.

You’ll be an experienced procurement professional who combines sound commercial judgement with a practical, delivery-focused approach. You’ll be confident managing sourcing activity, advising stakeholders and navigating the requirements of procurement within a complex environment.
You’ll bring:
- Strong knowledge of Government Procurement Rules and public sector procurement
- Experience delivering end-to-end sourcing and procurement activities
- Contract and supplier performance management expertise
- Commercial acumen with strong financial and data literacy
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
- Strong relationship-building and communication capability
- A proactive, resilient and customer-focused approach
- Relevant procurement qualification or equivalent experience (CIPS desirable)
