KPI’s: New Customer Growth, MER, Client Retention

Overview:
At Launch With Us, we manage £25M+ in annual paid media across Meta, Google & TikTok for brands including Lucky Saint, Fem Fuelz, Butter & Crust, Four Five and Pets Pureset, taking them from £2-3M in revenue through £8M, £9M, £10M and beyond.
Creative and media sit on one team at Launch With Us, not two agencies bolted together and coordinated after the fact. Performance Media, Performance Creative, Paid Search and Growth Strategy all report into the same room, which is why we're ranked the UK's number one Independent Meta Agency Group by Meta, and part of the wider Soar Group.
As part of one of the UK’s leading independent agency groups, we operate with speed, autonomy, and a high level of ownership. There’s no red tape- just fast decision-making and the ability to move quickly. We’re also deeply AI-forward in how we think and operate, constantly evolving how we drive performance and efficiency for our brands.
Our team has quickly grown to 20+ operators after 120% YoY growth for the past 2 years. We offer remote-first working with access to our London office based in Camden, where all agencies in the group live! Culture, training, and professional development are at the heart of who we are, offering you structured training and clear progression into higher seats across the agency.
The Opportunity:
As a Senior Paid Social Manager, you will own strategy and performance across a portfolio of DTC eCommerce brands. You will work directly with founders and senior stakeholders to identify growth opportunities, improve account performance, and drive client outcomes. You will also mentor Paid Social Managers & Media Buyers, helping raise execution standards across the business.
You deeply understand the core levers that drive eCommerce growth: offer, conversion, creative, and distribution. You know how to diagnose performance challenges quickly, uncover opportunities others miss, and confidently present solutions that founders and commercial leaders trust and act on.
Working closely with Media Buyers, Paid Social Managers, and Creative teams, you'll identify growth opportunities, remove performance bottlenecks, and ensure strategy translates into measurable commercial outcomes - with the agency's specialist creative, media and data resource sitting behind you rather than in front of you.
The Brands Behind this Role:
You will be trusted with a small number of high-growth eCommerce brands, not a long list managed at arm's length. For confidentiality, specific accounts are not named ahead of interview, but the following reflect the calibre and scale you will be operating at, drawn from our own case study portfolio:
- A premium, couture-finish womenswear brand. Founder-led, product-first, built on a loyal existing customer base: the challenge was finding new customers profitably after a disappointing quarter, without diluting the premium positioning. Recent portfolio outcomes at this level: 69% net profit increase, 9x blended ROAS, spend scaled 148%.
- A challenger eCommerce brand built from an established Amazon marketplace base. Proven product, proven logistics, no owned acquisition channel yet: the mandate was building a full DTC paid media engine from a standing start, against a 100% year-on-year growth target. Recent portfolio outcomes at this level: 135% revenue increase, 97% new customer revenue increase, 79% more new customer orders.
- A seasonal, subscription-building home and lifestyle brand. Strong peak-trading performance, a new subscription product still finding its footing: the challenge was maximising Q4 without the business resetting every January. Recent portfolio outcomes at this level: 82% year-on-year growth, 101% increase in new customers, 130% increase in subscription revenue.
This is the standard of outcome expected in this seat, and the standard you will be expected to own and repeat.
Requirements
Your Impact:
- The growth forecast for every account in your portfolio is yours to set: the number each brand needs to hit, and the paid social plan built to reach it.
- Diagnose the one constraint actually holding an account back, whether that is offer, creative, or the page traffic lands on, and fix that before anything else.
- Build creative testing roadmaps that treat volume and iteration as a science, not a backlog, so accounts compound instead of plateauing.
- Apply offer psychology and landing page testing as core levers, not afterthoughts: pricing, bundles, and page experience decide as much as the ad does.
- Carry new customer growth, MER, and retention as commercial outcomes you are accountable for, not metrics passed upward for someone else to act on.
- When account data points at a specific lever, act on it immediately rather than waiting for the next scheduled review.
Strategic Account Leadership
- Take ownership of strategy and performance across a portfolio of DTC e-commerce brands, ensuring activity remains aligned with client objectives, commercial targets, and growth plans. You will be responsible for translating business goals into actionable paid social strategies that deliver measurable results.
- Lead account planning by identifying opportunities to improve customer acquisition, increase efficiency, and scale profitable growth. You will regularly review account performance and proactively recommend new initiatives that support long-term success.
- Develop and oversee testing roadmaps across audiences, creative, offers, landing pages, and campaign structures, ensuring accounts continue to evolve and improve over time.
- Work closely with Growth Executives to ensure strategic recommendations are implemented effectively and that account activity remains aligned with wider business objectives.
Performance Analysis & Growth
- Analyse performance across Meta, TikTok, Triple Whale, Shopify, and reporting platforms to identify trends, opportunities, and areas of concern. You will use data to make informed decisions and guide account strategy.
- Monitor key growth metrics including ROAS, CAC, MER, NC-ROAS, and customer acquisition efficiency, ensuring accounts remain on track to achieve performance targets.
- Identify underperforming areas quickly and develop recovery plans that address performance issues while maintaining client confidence.
- Continuously seek opportunities to improve account performance through testing, optimisation, and strategic recommendations that contribute to sustainable growth.
Creative Performance Collaboration
- Partner closely with Creative Strategists to ensure creative output is aligned with account objectives and informed by performance data.
- Provide strategic feedback on messaging, hooks, formats, offers, and content themes, helping shape creative testing priorities and future campaigns.
- Use consumer insights and campaign learnings to influence creative direction and identify opportunities to improve conversion rates and customer acquisition performance.
- Stay ahead of platform trends, creative developments, and emerging opportunities across Meta and TikTok, ensuring clients benefit from innovative approaches.
Ai & Operational Efficiency
- Use AI tools daily to accelerate research, ideation, analysis, and strategic thinking.
- Leverage AI to streamline workflows, improve output quality, and increase operational efficiency.
- Identify opportunities where AI can unlock faster insight discovery or better decision-making.
- Stay ahead of emerging AI tools and workflows relevant to performance marketing and growth strategy.
Client Leadership:
- Act as the primary day-to-day strategic contact for assigned clients, building strong relationships through trust, reliability, and consistent performance.
- Lead performance reviews, planning sessions, and strategy discussions with confidence, helping clients understand both short-term results and long-term opportunities.
- Present recommendations clearly and commercially, ensuring clients understand the rationale behind decisions and the impact on business growth.
- Drive client retention by delivering exceptional service, maintaining strong communication, and consistently demonstrating value.
What Success Looks Like (First 6 Months):
- During your first three months, you will become fully embedded within your client portfolio and establish yourself as a trusted strategic partner for both clients and internal teams.
- You will develop a thorough understanding of client objectives, account performance, and growth opportunities, while confidently leading strategic discussions and performance reviews.
- By the end of this period, you will be taking ownership of account strategy, contributing proactively to growth planning, and demonstrating strong leadership within your pod.
- By six months, you will be driving measurable improvements across account performance, client retention, and commercial outcomes.
- You will be recognised for your ability to identify growth opportunities, solve complex performance challenges, and provide strategic recommendations that influence client decision-making.
- You will also be actively supporting the development of Paid Social Managers, helping improve both individual performance and overall team capability.
You’ll Thrive Here If You Have:
- 3+ years of paid social experience within an agency or DTC e-commerce environment, with a proven track record of scaling brands through Meta and TikTok advertising.
- Deep understanding of paid social strategy, customer acquisition, creative testing methodologies, and full-funnel growth planning.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to connect marketing performance to wider business objectives and growth outcomes.
