Organisational Context:

ING is evolving its organisation for non-financial risk, control and resilience activities to create clearer accountability, stronger ownership and a more scalable operating model. The NFR Expert will contribute to effective risk and control management by providing expertise, analysis and practical support across activities that may develop as the future organisation and service scope are further defined.

We are looking for a pragmatic risk professional who can work independently within established frameworks, translate requirements into workable solutions and contribute to the quality, consistency and effectiveness of non-financial risk management.

What you will do:

As Senior NFR Specialist, you will contribute to risk and control activities across an international stakeholder landscape. The precise portfolio may evolve as the future organisation and service scope are further defined. Your key responsibilities include:

• Risk and control management: take ownership of assigned activities, follow relevant procedures and support the identification, assessment, monitoring and mitigation of non-financial risks.

• Policy and procedure application: interpret relevant policies, standards and regulatory requirements and help translate them into practical processes, guidance and ways of working.

• Analysis and reporting: conduct research, collect and analyse information, identify key themes and trends, and prepare clear insights and reporting for relevant stakeholders.

• Specialist support: provide advice on the interpretation and application of policies and procedures and support the resolution of complex queries and issues.

• Quality and continuous improvement: review existing practices, suggest improvements and support initiatives that strengthen quality, consistency, efficiency and compliance.

• Stakeholder collaboration: work with business, risk and control stakeholders, maintain effective relationships and contribute to alignment and knowledge sharing.

• Change support: contribute to initiatives within the area of responsibility, assess possible solutions and help implement agreed changes.

• Knowledge sharing: share expertise and provide practical guidance to colleagues when required.

What you will bring:

• A master’s degree or an equivalent level of education.

• Relevant professional experience, typically three to six years, including experience in non-financial risk, business control, compliance, resilience, consulting, transformation or a related field.

• Advanced knowledge of risk management techniques and relevant policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.

• Strong analytical skills, including the ability to identify trends, assess impacts and formulate practical recommendations.

• Experience interpreting and applying policies, standards or frameworks and contributing to change or improvement initiatives.

• Strong stakeholder-management, verbal communication and reporting skills, including experience providing specialist advice.

• Ability to share knowledge and provide practical guidance to colleagues; experience supervising junior colleagues is an advantage.

• Excellent command of English.

Wage (gross) 3 443 EUR/month

*By legal requirement we are providing the information about the basic wage component (minimum salary) for the advertised position. Based on your experience/profile, the final financial conditions will be the subject to discuss and negotiate at the personal interview, however, not less than above mentioned minimum salary component.
