More about the role:
You’ll be joining a creative team that’s been recognized with Cannes Lions, Clios, One Show, New York Festivals, SABRE, and PRWeek awards, but more importantly, a team that’s curious, collaborative, and constantly pushing each other to do work that earns attention.
The Creative team works across the full Burson client roster to ideate, develop, and produce earned-first campaigns, building original ideas that cut through culture, not just the noise. We’ve intentionally brought together a mix of designers, writers, producers, and creators from different backgrounds, cultures, and points of view, because better work comes from diverse voices challenging each other. We’re looking for people who love what they do, value different perspectives, and are excited to roll up their sleeves to help push our creative even further.

Burson is seeking an experienced and talented Sr. Motion & Film Creative to join our dynamic Craft team. In this role, you will work closely with creatives and producers across the wider Creative team in post-production, editing video content, generating motion graphics, and managing edits across a wide variety of clients and brands.
As a 'go-to' expert for motion and film, you have a keen eye for motion design, a desire to deliver the highest standard of work, and the ability to lead projects creatively, from treatment development and client presentations to reviewing and directing other editors’ work. You will also partner with Creative Operations and Production leads to streamline post-production workflows, manage media platforms, and help push our creative execution into bold, unexpected places.
What you'll do:
- Video Editing & Motion Design: Edit high-quality video content (social assets, brand films, interviews, anthem films, sizzle reels, etc.) and create dynamic animated titles and motion graphics for publication across multiple devices and channels.
- End-to-End Creative Involvement: Participate in all stages of the creative process—from interpreting briefs and developing storyboards and treatments to delivering rough cuts and polished final products.
- On-Set & Content Capture: Direct on-set and/or capture dynamic content using a run-and-gun shooting style alongside producers or art directors (preferred).
- Quality & Spec Standards: Address internal and client edits throughout the approval process, delivering final assets to exact technical specifications.
- Post-Production Operations & Asset Management
- Process & Workflow Spearheading: Partner with Creative Operations and Production leads to develop robust post-production processes (file structures, spec sheets for editors, taxonomy, and project forecasting).
- Media & Lifecycle Management: Oversee project assets from ingest through archiving, maintaining proper file structures allowing for future edits and seamless platform exports.
- Platform Ownership: Manage Burson Vimeo and Frame.io accounts, as well as the agency showreel, ensuring content is continuously kept up to date.
- Leadership & Creative Consultation
- Subject Matter Expertise: Serve as the team’s ‘go-to’ for best practices, strategic consultation, and sense-checking for all things motion and film.
- Creative Guidance: Review and direct other editors’ work under the guidance of creative leadership to push work in bold, culturally relevant directions.
- Client Presentation: Confidently present creative treatments and motion concepts to clients and internal stakeholders.
Experience that contributes to success:
- 6–8+ years of relevant experience in post-production, editing, and motion design in an agency or production environment (a background in film production, media management, or animation is a plus).
- Software Mastery: Highly skilled across the entire Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects. Proficient in PowerPoint for developing compelling treatments and storyboards.
- Strong Reel/Portfolio: Demonstrates a sophisticated aesthetic, technical excellence, and high-end video editing and motion graphics across social content, commercial work, and brand campaigns.
- Social & Digital Savvy: Possesses a strong awareness of current trends across digital media and social channels, with a passion for branded storytelling.
- Strategic & Operational Mindset: Ability to organize post-production workflows, manage media lifecycle/archives, and establish spec sheets and taxonomies.
- Collaboration & Leadership: A team-first spirit with the confidence to direct other editors, present to clients, and collaborate effectively with producers, art directors, and cross-functional teams.
- Agile Problem-Solver: Calm under pressure, highly detail-oriented, and resourceful in fast-paced environments with tight deadlines.
- Self-Motivated Learner: Curious, entrepreneurial, and open-minded—always eager to embrace new technologies, tools, and methods of working.
