What You’ll Do
Events are where Edmentum’s mission comes to life. As our Sr. Marketing Manager, Events, you will own our national and regional event portfolio from strategy through showtime: deciding where Edmentum shows up, delivering flagship conferences that make an impression, and proving the impact of every investment. You will be the connector who brings Marketing, Sales, and our agency partners together to turn events into one of our most powerful growth engines, driving high-impact event programs and amplifying the event experience through partnership activations.
In this role you will:
- Shape Edmentum’s national event strategy end to end, from choosing the events we invest in to delivering standout flagship conferences – elevating event experiences that expand the impact beyond the day
- Empower regional sales teams with scalable playbooks, toolkits, and standards that make every local activation a success
- Own the events budget, negotiate with venues, vendors, and our event agency, and build the ROI story that guides future investment
- Rally Creative, Content, Product Marketing, Demand Generation, Sales, and Operations around cohesive, high-impact event delivery
- Turn every event into fuel for growth by ensuring fast, high-quality lead handoff to Sales and codifying learnings into repeatable playbooks
- Curate and expand Edmentum’s event presence by working with strategic partners to bring our brand to life
- Tell the performance story, reporting event ROI to marketing and sales leadership and shaping next year’s strategy
Who You Are
- You have 7+ years of progressive experience in event marketing, field marketing, or demand generation, including ownership of national-scale events
- You have managed six-figure event budgets, including vendor negotiation, contract management, and financial reporting
- You have directed external agencies to deliver complex, multi-stakeholder events
- You are a cross-functional leader who aligns stakeholders and drives results without formal authority
- You are skilled at translating data into actionable investment recommendations
- You are an exceptional project manager, comfortable running multiple concurrent events, timelines, and budgets
- You are a confident communicator with experience presenting to senior leadership
- You are familiar with event and marketing technology such as Salesforce, Marketo, LeanData, lead scanning tools, and virtual event platforms
- You are willing and able to travel domestically to 10-12 events per year, with peak travel occurring Jan-April.
- You bring education sector event experience (a plus, but not required)
- You are willing to take on evolving responsibilities based on business needs.
