What You’ll Do: 

You are a revenue accounting leader who brings sharp technical judgment, operational discipline, and a genuine commitment to developing people. You make complex ASC 606 questions clear, help teams move quickly with confidence, and care deeply about whether the revenue engine works in practice, not just on paper. You improve systems and processes without waiting for every detail to be solved first.

You lead the revenue accounting team through close, audit, and the daily realities of a growing SaaS business. You spot issues in contracts, billing workflows, and controls and own the path to a better outcome. You provide clear guidance and feedback to your team, focusing on accurate reporting, scalable operations, and measurable impact. You collaborate closely with Finance, Sales, Legal, Deal Desk, FP&A, and Business Platform to strengthen alignment across the order-to-cash and revenue recognition process.

Responsibilities: 

• Serve as the subject matter expert for revenue recognition under ASC 606 and provide practical guidance on non-standard customer contracts and deal structures.
• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue close processes, including accurate and timely reporting of revenue, deferred revenue, and unbilled receivables.
• Prepare clear technical accounting whitepapers and memos for complex revenue transactions and serve as the primary revenue contact for external auditors.
• Oversee day-to-day revenue operations across billing, collections, and customer inquiries, and strengthen internal controls over revenue and billing pipelines.
• Partner with Business Platform, Engineering, Sales, Legal, Deal Desk, Finance, and FP&A to improve billing systems, support forecasting and variance analysis, and scale order-to-cash operations.
• Manage, mentor, and develop the revenue accounting team while setting clear expectations for performance, accountability, and professional growth.
• Use AI to accelerate contract analysis, technical memo drafting, close and variance analysis, audit support, and revenue workflow automation while applying sound accounting judgment and protecting sensitive information.

What You Bring To The Team: 

• You have 5+ years of combined experience in public accounting (Big 4 preferred), and revenue accounting roles at public, high-growth, and/or pre-IPO SaaS companies.
• You have experience directly managing or leading accounting professionals and building a team culture grounded in accountability, development, and trust.
• You bring deep knowledge of ASC 606, order-to-cash accounting, revenue operations, and the control environment supporting billing and revenue generation.
• You have hands-on experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite and revenue engines or billing tools such as ARM, Stripe, or Zuora.
• You have partnered with IT or Business Platforms teams on billing platform upgrades, system conversions, automated integrations, and process improvements.
• You write clear technical accounting memos and have the ability to communicate complex issues to cross-functional partners.
• You manage competing priorities and solve problems with strong analytical judgment and attention to detail.
• You use AI thoughtfully across accounting workflows to work faster and smarter, especially for analysis, technical memo drafting, audit support, and repeatable process improvement, while validating outputs and exercising good judgment.
