Reports To: VP of R&D and Offer Management - Airtech, Munters

Position Summary: Munters Airtech is seeking a dynamic and strategic leader to direct our R&D operations in China, focusing on Dehumidification (DH).
The R&D Manager will oversee one team sitting in close connection with our production unit in Jiangyin, championing innovation, driving excellence in product development, and implementing efficient global processes and tools. This role is integral to the country management team and works closely with regional and global Offer Management and R&D to ensure alignment with our strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage R&D activities for DH/WET technologies ensuring alignment with our global strategies and local market needs.
• Develop and mentor a high-performing team of project manager, technical product managers, mechanical and electrical engineers, fostering an innovative and collaborative work environment.
• Responsible for product development and product care.
• Ensure that all design and product development activities comply with applicable regulations and standards in our industry.
• Implement and assure compliance with global processes and tools within the team to enhance efficiency and standardization across sites.
• Oversee project management, ensuring projects are executed effectively, within budget, and meet or exceed quality standards.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to support product development and enhance operational efficiencies.
• Spearhead the development and commercialization of new technologies and products, ensuring they are responsive to customer needs and maintain a competitive edge.
• Collaborate closely with global product management and R&D teams to integrate China´s initiatives with global technological advancements and product strategies.
• Manage budgets, forecasts, and resources strategically to optimize financial and operational performance.
• Contribute in OMRD LT and act as role model in the organization

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Product Development, or related technical field.
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in a leadership role within R&D or engineering, preferably with experience in HVAC industry.
• Strong project management skills with a proven track record in leading complex, multi-site projects.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively engaging and influencing various stakeholders.
• Deep understanding of the technological, competitive, and regulatory environments specific to dehumidification and air handling technologies.
