We are looking for an experienced Senior Java Developer with 9–14 years of experience in the software industry, including strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and Amazon Web Services (AWS). The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience in the banking industry and a solid understanding of banking applications, financial systems, and enterprise-grade software development.

In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining scalable, secure, and high-performance applications. You will collaborate with architects, product managers, business analysts, and cross-functional engineering teams to deliver reliable software solutions that meet business and regulatory requirements. The candidate should possess strong problem-solving abilities, a sound understanding of software engineering principles, and the ability to take ownership of complex technical initiatives in a dynamic environment.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-level applications using Java and related technologies.

• Build robust, scalable, and maintainable backend systems aligned with business and technical requirements.

• Leverage AWS services to develop, deploy, manage, and optimize cloud-based applications.

• Apply banking domain knowledge to develop and enhance applications supporting financial services, banking operations, and transaction processing.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.

• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and backend services, ensuring performance, reliability, and security.

• Follow coding standards, software development best practices, and established architectural guidelines.

• Identify and resolve complex technical issues, troubleshoot production defects, and improve application performance.

• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, design reviews, and architectural decision-making.

• Ensure applications adhere to security standards, data protection requirements, and applicable banking regulations.

• Contribute to continuous integration and deployment processes and support cloud-based application delivery.

• Mentor junior developers, share technical knowledge, and contribute to improving team productivity and code quality.

Must-Have Skills

• Java: Strong hands-on experience in Java programming, object-oriented design, data structures, and enterprise application development.

• Banking Domain: Mandatory experience working in the banking industry, with an understanding of banking applications, financial workflows, and transaction-oriented systems.

• AWS: Strong experience developing, deploying, and managing applications on AWS cloud infrastructure.

• Software Engineering: Excellent knowledge of debugging, performance optimization, application security, and software development best practices.

• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to handle complex technical challenges.

Good-to-Have Skills

• Experience with Spring Boot for developing enterprise-grade applications and REST APIs.

• Knowledge of microservices architecture, distributed systems, and service-oriented design.

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, containerization, and cloud deployment practices.

• Experience with relational databases, SQL, application monitoring, and performance tuning.

• Understanding of Agile methodologies and collaborative software development practices.

Experience and Qualifications

• Total Experience: 9–14 years in the software industry.

• Relevant Experience: Strong hands-on expertise in Java and AWS.

• Domain Experience: Prior experience in the banking industry is mandatory.

• Preferred Expertise: Spring Boot and microservices architecture.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field is preferred.
