Position Summary:
The Senior IT Support Analyst is responsible for coordinating and supporting the organization's data security management program, ensuring that data security policies, processes, and controls are effectively implemented and maintained. The role will also provide operational support for business and security-related systems to ensure stable and secure system operations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Data Security Management
- Support the day-to-day coordination and administration of the organization's data security program and contribute to the continuous improvement of the data security governance framework.
- Assist in developing, maintaining, and updating data security policies, standards, procedures, and guidelines.
- Support data classification and categorization initiatives, data inventory management, data flow mapping activities and cross-border data transfer compliance activities.
- Assist in identifying, assessing, and tracking remediation of data security risks.
- Participate in data security assessments, audits, compliance reviews, and regulatory examinations.
- Support monitoring, investigation, and response activities related to data security incidents and control exceptions.
- Monitor developments in data security, cybersecurity, privacy, and regulatory requirements, and support the implementing corresponding policies, controls and compliance measures.
- Support third-party and vendor risk assessments related to data security, privacy, and regulatory requirements.
- Review and provide input on data security, privacy, and confidentiality requirements in business agreements, vendor contracts, and other relevant documents to support compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct data security awareness and training activities to promote a strong security culture across the organization.
2. IT Risk & Compliance Management
- Support IT compliance and risk management activities in accordance with regulatory and internal requirements.
- Assist in maintaining IT policies, procedures, risk registers, and compliance documentation.
- Coordinate regulatory, audit, and compliance requests, including evidence collection and reporting.
- Support IT risk assessments, control reviews, and remediation tracking activities.
- Monitor regulatory developments and assist in implementing relevant compliance requirements.
- Work with IT and business teams to identify and address security, compliance, and operational risks.
- Support internal and external audits, inspections, and regulatory examinations.
- Prepare compliance reports, assessments, and management updates as required.
- Promote IT risk awareness and support compliance training initiatives.
3. Additional Responsibilities
- Provide operational and administrative support for business applications and security-related systems as needed.
- Support IT operational activities, including asset management, documentation maintenance, and business continuity or disaster recovery exercises.
- Assist in coordinating system maintenance, troubleshooting, and issue resolution with internal IT teams and external vendors as needed.
REQUIREMENTS
Education
- Bachelor's degree or above in Information Security, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
Experience
- 3–5 years of experience in data security, information security, IT risk, IT compliance, cybersecurity, IT operations, or a related area.
- Experience in insurance or financial services is preferred.
- Experience supporting data security governance, IT risk, compliance, audit, cybersecurity, or regulatory initiatives is highly desirable.
Technical Knowledge & Skills
- Good understanding of data security, cybersecurity, privacy protection, IT risk & compliance management, and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Familiarity with data governance, cross-border data transfer requirements, and data protection practices.
- Understanding of risk assessment methodologies, internal controls, audit processes, and compliance frameworks.
- Familiarity with data classification, data lifecycle management, and data governance practices.
- Working knowledge of Windows and/or Linux operating systems.
- Basic understanding of databases and data structures, with the ability to perform basic data analysis or validation.
- Understanding of access management, logging, security monitoring, and audit controls.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications
Candidates with one or more of the following qualifications are preferred:
- Professional certifications such as CISP, CISSP, CDSP, CISA, ISO 27001 Lead Auditor, or equivalent are preferred.
- Experience supporting compliance initiatives related to data privacy or data protection regulations.
- Experience with Information Security Management Systems (ISMS), such as ISO 27001.
- Familiarity with regulatory expectations and industry best practices related to data security in the insurance or financial services sector.
- Familiarity with applicable regulations related to cybersecurity, data security, privacy protection, or cross-border data transfers.
