Job Description

Are you ready to lead the highly automated factory operation while developing people, driving performance, and ensuring world-class warehouse execution?

Lead High-bay Warehouse (HBW) automated warehouse operations in LEGO Manufacturing, ensuring delivery of Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and People targets while driving automation excellence, team development, continuous improvement, and operational performance.

Core Responsibilities

  • Accountable for HBW Operations & KPI Delivery: Ensures automated warehouse, raw material warehouse, and P-box washer operations constantly deliver and exceed S, Q, D, C, P — Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, People — targets and related corporate KPIs.

  • Strategic Leadership & People Development: Drives leadership, motivation, and end-to-end development of the entire team, including technicians, shift leads, and operators; secures timely recruitment, manages attendance compliance, and disciplined implementation of basic PPC processes, including PRP, PMP, and IDP.

  • End-to-End Material Flow Ownership: Secures the seamless and timely flow of LEGO® bricks, P-boxes, and non-production materials across the factory based on real-time production demands and needs.

  • Asset Management & Maintenance Strategy: Owns full responsibility for all entrusted equipment, driving the spare parts optimization strategy to maintain critical stock levels while ensuring zero downtime for critical components.

  • High-Level Stakeholder & Supplier Alignment: Builds and maintains strong, proactive collaboration with automated equipment suppliers and internal stakeholders to support broader factory strategy and goals.

  • Executive Reporting & Escalation: Reports HBW operational KPIs directly to the factory Leadership Team and strictly executes corporate escalation procedures during critical bottlenecks.

  • Continuous Improvement & Data Analytics: Utilizes data analysis and Continuous Improvement tools to optimize processes, enhance daily operations, and sustain long-term performance growth.

  • Compliance, Safety & 5S Excellence: Leads safety and 5S inspections within the department, executing regular process confirmations to maintain a high-performance culture and strict compliance.

  • Role Modelling & Culture Cohesion: Supports team culture and cross-functional cohesion by leading by example, embodying LEGO values, and driving synergy across the logistics organization.

HBW – Automated Warehouse is part of the Logistics department within the factory and plays a key role in receiving, storing, and supplying LEGO® bricks to and from production.

Leading the HBW team means driving the very heartbeat of our factory’s flow. It is a role where high-level automation meets a people-first culture, turning complex technological operations into the ultimate joy of building the future of play.

As an HBW Senior Manager, this role leads the internal team to fulfill the planned operational goals while simultaneously driving strict compliance with the principles of quality and work safety across the broader organization.

Do you have what it takes?

  • Educational Background: University degree — Bachelor's degree or higher — in a technical, mechanical, automation, or logistics/supply chain field is strictly required.

  • Proven Leadership Experience: At least 5 years of experience as a people leader, with a demonstrated ability to motivate teams, drive team goals, and lead with a high level of dedication and commitment.

  • Operational & TPM Expertise: Deep familiarity with TPM — Total Productive Maintenance — and its pillars, combined with a strong preference for working experience in continuous 24/7 manufacturing operations.

  • Maintenance & Automation Background: At least 5 years of solid experience in automated warehouse operations, equipment maintenance, or a related industrial automation environment.

  • Continuous Improvement Knowledge: Practical knowledge and application of CI tools, including 5S, Kaizen, PDCA, root-cause analysis, and process confirmations.

  • Strategic Decision-Making & Autonomy: Strong ability to make independent tactical decisions, recognize operational issues, and solve complex problems under high-pressure conditions.

  • High Ethical Standards & Self-Control: Demonstrates a very strong moral compass, high ethical standards, strong self-awareness, and high emotional intelligence/self-control.

  • Advanced Communication & Change Management: Strong skills in communication, negotiation, and organization, with a proven ability to advocate, promote, and support organizational changes.

  • Adaptability & Professional Drive: Active, proactive, and resilient approach to stress, with high flexibility to adapt to changes and a willingness to travel approximately 30 days per year.

  • Language Skills: Fluent English, both written and spoken, is strictly required for daily operational management, international vendor negotiation, and cross-functional corporate reporting.

Nice-to-Haves

  • System & Analytical Skills: Previous experience working with SAP, Power BI, and other advanced data reporting or analytics applications.

  • Automation Experience: Prior hands-on experience working directly within a fully Automated Warehouse, HBW, or high-bay environment.

  • Proactivity & Innovation: Strong track record of taking initiative, recognizing operational opportunities, and executing improvements proactively.

  • Collaborative Mindset: Thrives and contributes best in a cross-functional team setting, supporting team cohesion and shared goals.
