We are looking for an experienced, backend-focused Full Stack Developer with strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, microservices, and distributed systems, complemented by working knowledge of modern frontend development using Vue.js or similar technologies.

The role will primarily focus on designing, developing, and optimizing scalable, secure, and high-performance backend services and APIs, while contributing to frontend development and integration as required. The ideal candidate should have a strong engineering mindset, take ownership of end-to-end feature delivery, and leverage AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity, code quality, and operational efficiency.

Backend Development and Architecture:

* Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance microservices using Java 21+ and Spring Boot.

* Design and implement robust RESTful APIs, covering API versioning, idempotency, error handling, security, and OpenAPI/Swagger specifications.

* Apply microservices architecture principles, including bounded contexts, appropriate service decomposition, distributed transaction management, and Saga patterns.

* Develop and integrate event-driven systems using Apache Kafka and asynchronous messaging patterns.

* Implement application security best practices, including OAuth2, JWT, secure coding, and proactive vulnerability remediation.

* Optimize application performance through JVM tuning, profiling, caching strategies, latency reduction, and efficient resource utilization.

* Design, develop, and optimize database access patterns, SQL queries, indexing strategies, and query execution plans.

* Design, implement, and operate cloud-native and serverless solutions on AWS, including Lambda, API Gateway, and Step Functions.

* Develop backend services and APIs using Node.js and NestJS where appropriate.

* Use Python, Node.js, and other scripting tools to automate engineering, testing, deployment, and operational activities.

* Write clean, maintainable, testable code and develop unit and integration tests. Build prototypes, troubleshoot complex issues, and identify and resolve performance bottlenecks.

Frontend Development:

* Develop, enhance, and maintain frontend applications using Vue.js, following established architectural and coding standards.

* Integrate frontend applications with backend services through secure, reliable, and well-designed REST APIs.

* Implement reusable UI components, form handling, client-side validation, state management, and error handling.

* Understand frontend performance, responsive design, browser compatibility, and usability fundamentals.

* Troubleshoot frontend issues and collaborate with other developers to deliver complete, end-to-end features.

Engineering Excellence and Collaboration:

* Leverage AI-assisted development tools to accelerate coding, debugging, testing, code reviews, and documentation.

* Drive AI-powered automation across the software development lifecycle, including design, development, testing, production support, log analysis, and ticket summarization.

* Conduct code reviews, promote engineering best practices, and mentor team members to improve code quality and team effectiveness.

* Collaborate closely with the Engineering Manager, QA teams, and other developers to communicate progress, resolve technical challenges, and deliver the technology roadmap.

* Participate in on-call rotations, production incident resolution, root-cause analysis, and preventive improvements.

Requirements

Essential Backend Skills:

* Strong professional experience in backend software development using Java 21+ and Spring Boot.

* Solid understanding of microservices architecture, distributed systems, RESTful API design, and event-driven architecture.

* Hands-on experience with API design, integration, authentication, authorization, and application security.

* Practical experience with Apache Kafka or equivalent event-streaming technologies.

* Strong SQL and relational database knowledge, including query optimization and indexing.

* Experience building and operating applications on AWS, including serverless services.

* Good understanding of unit testing, integration testing, CI/CD, observability, production troubleshooting, and secure development practices.

* Ability to analyze complex technical problems and deliver reliable, maintainable, and high-performance solutions.

Frontend Skills:

* Working knowledge of Vue.js and modern JavaScript or TypeScript.

* Ability to develop and maintain frontend components, integrate REST APIs, and troubleshoot UI issues.

* Understanding of frontend architecture, state management, responsive design, and client-side validation.

* Ability to independently implement straightforward to moderately complex frontend features without requiring deep frontend specialization.

Additional Skills:

* Experience with Node.js and NestJS for backend services.

* Familiarity with Python or other scripting languages for automation and tooling.

* Practical experience with AI-assisted coding tools and an interest in applying AI to improve development productivity and software quality.

* Strong analytical, communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

* Ability to take ownership of deliverables and work effectively within a cross-functional engineering team.

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience designing and operating cloud-native applications on AWS.

* Knowledge of distributed transaction patterns, resilience strategies, caching, and performance optimization.

* Experience automating development and operational workflows using AI.

* Experience participating in architectural decisions, conducting code reviews, and mentoring other developers.
