The Role

Fidelity Investments Workplace Investing (WI) is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join Digital Platforms Technology. This role will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and supporting business-critical applications and services within a product delivery team. Working closely with Principal Engineers, Engineering Delivery Managers, Product Managers, System Analysts, Quality Engineers, and Architects, this individual will contribute to the successful delivery of scalable, resilient, secure, and maintainable solutions. 

The Team 

You will be part of the Plan Sponsor WorkStation (PSW) technology organisation within Stock Plan Services (SPS). As a Senior Software Engineer, you will play a key role in the delivery of product capabilities while contributing to technical discussions, solution design, and engineering improvements across the team. 

The Expertise We're Looking For 

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a technology-related discipline. 

• 5+ years of software engineering experience building and supporting enterprise applications. 

• Strong experience developing modern web applications and services. 

• Experience contributing to the delivery of complex software solutions in large-scale environments. 

• Experience using GitHub Copilot or similar AI-assisted engineering tools is desirable. 

Technical Expertise 

• Strong experience with Angular, TypeScript, RxJS, Signals, and modern front-end engineering practices. 

• Experience working within Nx/monorepo environments. 

• Experience integrating with REST APIs and API-driven architectures. 

• Working knowledge of Java/Spring-based services and distributed systems. 

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, AWS, observability, and production support. 

• Experience with Vitest, Storybook, and modern quality development approaches. 

Engineering Contribution 

• Contribute to technical design discussions and solution development. 

• Deliver high-quality software aligned with architecture and engineering standards. 

• Participate in code reviews and promote best practices. 

• Support quality through automated testing and proactive defect prevention. 

• Participate in production support, issue investigation, and root cause analysis. 

Collaboration & Delivery 

• Work closely with Product Managers, Product Analysts, System Analysts, and Quality Engineers. 

• Contribute technical input during planning and estimation. 

• Communicate progress, risks, and technical considerations effectively. 

• Support delivery commitments while maintaining engineering quality standards. 

Mentoring & Growth 

• Support and mentor less experienced engineers. 

• Share knowledge and contribute to continuous learning. 

• Use AI-assisted engineering tools responsibly to improve productivity and quality.
