Circle K Business Centre in Riga, Latvia is looking for a new team player, who would like to join our team as:

Senior Financial Controller Record to Report BU Baltics (Latvia – focused)

Type of Employment: Permanent

Location: Riga, Latvia 

Visa requirements: A valid work permit from the EU/EEA (relocation assistance is not provided)

WHAT YOU'LL DO 

• Ensure accurate and timely management accounting and reporting (including, but not limited to, Market Review, Business Review, CAPEX, ROCE, OPEX, margin analysis, etc.) in accordance with Group deadlines and guidelines for Business Unit results on a monthly, quarterly and year-end basis.

• Manage operational issues and resolve management reporting discrepancies and irregularities in the management accounting and reporting area.

• Perform quality reviews of other employees’ work.

• Develop and automate management reporting processes to reduce processing time and increase efficiency and scalability.

• Drive best practices and process consistency, both within the systems and across connected processes.

• Lead efforts to analyze and interpret financial performance against budget and prior periods for the assigned Business Unit.

• Maintain close dialogue with the Business Unit and various stakeholders across Europe and North America.

• Ensure compliance with internal controls in accordance with the Group’s guidelines.

• Participate in challenging improvement projects within the management accounting and reporting area.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED 

• Solid experience in Controlling or Audit, preferably within an international work environment.

• Degree in economics, finance, accounting, mathematics or a similar field. Specialization in Accounting is an advantage.

• Good understanding of general accounting principles.

• Strong analytical skills.

• Strong process analysis skills and the ability to identify and drive process improvements.

• Good computer skills, with proficiency in BI tools and experience with general accounting systems. Experience with Oracle JDE, Finance Cube, Power BI and Longview is an advantage.

• Strong communication skills, with a proven ability to articulate complex financial concepts in a simple and meaningful way.

• Fluency in English, both written and spoken, to communicate effectively with colleagues across Europe.

• Ability to work effectively in a changing environment.

• ACCA certificate or ongoing ACCA studies is an advantage.
