Senior Electrical Design Engineer

What you’ll do

As a Senior Electrical Design Engineer for our Mining & Resources team, based in Gladstone, you’ll contribute to projects and programs that support the future. You will make a real difference and be part of a team that embraces challenges, welcomes diverse ideas, and engineer solutions with people and outcomes in mind.  

You'll provide technical leadership across a diverse portfolio of mining and resources projects, contributing to the design, integration and delivery of instrumentation, control and communication systems that support critical infrastructure and industrial operations. You will:

• Oversee the design and delivery of instrumentation, control, and communication systems across complex industrial projects.

• Provide trusted technical guidance on I&C system architecture, integration, automation, and best-practice engineering solutions.

• Partner with electrical, mechanical, process and multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated project outcomes.

• Support and mentor emerging engineers, fostering technical capability and knowledge sharing.

• Contribute to successful project delivery by managing technical quality, schedules, budgets, and project risks.

• Build and strengthen client relationships while identifying opportunities to support ongoing growth across our industrial portfolio.

What you’ll bring

• Relevant Electrical Engineering qualifications in Electrical Engineering

• RPEQ (Electrical) or ITEE equivalent

• Significant experience in electrical engineering, with a strong focus on Instrumentation & Control (I&C) systems within industrial environments.

• Experience delivering design solutions across industrial, manufacturing, resources, energy, water, or process industries.

• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships.

• A collaborative mindset and the ability to influence outcomes across multidisciplinary teams.

• A practical, solutions-focused approach and a commitment to technical excellence.
