Reporting to the Creative Director, the Senior Producer must think strategically and move quickly to execute shoots, with excellent project management skills, a keen eye for compelling and innovative content, and a passion for continuous improvement.
Responsibilities:
Strategy
- Align with the CEO, Creative Director & Brand Creative team to define the scope of work for each shoot: determining budgets, hired talent and priorities.
- Partner with senior marketing leadership to strategically develop and execute the Drop Calendar for the season, aligning product releases with market trends and business objectives.
- Create and oversee the content calendar: schedule shoot dates, styling sessions, and fitting appointments.
- Build and manage all photo and video production budgets, in addition to budgets for one-off projects.
- Lead the planning and execution of pre-production and production: logistics, travel schedules, call sheets, sourcing, crew, catering, equipment, locations, talent booking and negotiation, build outs, wardrobe, glam, and timelines.
- Continuously research industry trends, production resources, vendors, locations, and emerging technologies to identify opportunities to elevate content and improve production efficiency.
Execution
- Produce and deliver photo and video content for web and social media platforms, including campaigns, e-commerce, look books, and supplementary projects, managing all aspects from pre-production to post-production.
- Ensure that all content is produced on time, within budget and to a high standard of quality and consistency.
- Manage and support the Production Coordinator, overseeing workload and priorities to ensure responsibilities are balanced and achievable, while providing ongoing guidance, mentorship, and opportunities for professional growth.
- Alongside the Production Coordinator, oversee each shoot day from initial crew arrival through wrap, ensuring production runs smoothly, efficiently, and according to schedule.
- Collaborate closely with the Art Director and Styling teams to source all items needed for shoots, ensuring alignment with the approved creative direction.
- Coordinate all styling and fitting sessions, overseeing the process and ensuring looks are routed to the appropriate stakeholders for timely review and final approval.
- Manage the in-house photo studio, including equipment, supplies, organization, maintenance, and the sourcing and purchasing of items required for smooth day-to-day operations.
- Develop and maintain relationships with external vendors and freelancers to ensure production needs are met.
- Prepare and manage agreements for vendors and talent, coordinating with Legal and relevant stakeholders to ensure timely review and execution.
- Secure all required production and location permits, navigating permitting processes efficiently and managing approvals within production timelines, including under tight turnaround times.
- Build and manage post-production timelines across photo and video, ensuring all rounds of review, retouching, editing, approvals, and final asset delivery remain on schedule.
- Maintain regular communication with photographers and in-house creative teams to understand their post-production needs.
- Ensure internal Creative teams provide clear and comprehensive retouching notes in a timely manner, managing the process to keep retouching on schedule and aligned with brand standards.
- Consolidate feedback for video content in a clear and concise manner using platforms such as Frame.io, ensuring editors always have a clear understanding of the next steps.
Time Management/Reporting
- Plan and organize your activities to meet all deadlines, enhance performance, maximize productivity, and increase efficiency.
- Set clear goals, priorities, expectations, and timelines, proactively managing responsibilities and communicating potential delays or roadblocks.
- Regularly report key learnings, results, and opportunities for improvement across priority projects to the broader team.
- Manage payroll onboarding for all freelancers.
- Manage invoicing for vendors: review, submit and track all payments.
- Maintain and share regular budget reporting with the CMO and CFO, partnering closely with Finance to track spend, manage forecasts, and ensure productions remain within approved budgets.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of production experience within the Creative industries.
- Must have experience managing photo studios and on-set production.
- Extensive production knowledge and hands-on experience managing complex location shoots, including locations, permitting, vendors, crew, equipment, logistics, and on-set production requirements.
- Demonstrated people-management experience, with the ability to effectively manage workloads, set priorities, provide guidance and feedback, and support the professional development of direct reports.
