The Role
As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will help design, implement, and continuously improve the automation, deployment, observability, and cloud capabilities supporting Viva.com’s technology platforms.
You will collaborate with engineering, cloud infrastructure, SRE, architecture, QA, security, and operations teams to enable reliable software delivery, scalable cloud-native infrastructure, and efficient production operations.
You will take ownership of complex technical initiatives, contribute to architectural decisions, promote engineering best practices, and support the development of less experienced engineers.
The role focuses on Azure DevOps, AKS, CI/CD automation, Infrastructure-as-Code, Datadog observability, cloud-native operations, and AI-assisted automation.
Responsibilities:
- Design, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines across multiple applications and environments;
- Build reusable deployment automation using Azure DevOps, YAML pipelines, templates, and scripting;
- Support the migration, operation, and optimization of workloads on Azure Kubernetes Service and other cloud-native platforms;
- Implement secure and scalable Infrastructure-as-Code solutions;
- Automate repetitive operational processes using scripting, tooling, and AI-assisted capabilities;
- Improve release management, deployment governance, and production delivery practices;
- Implement and enhance observability using Datadog, including logs, metrics, dashboards, monitors, alerts, and integrations;
- Collaborate with SRE and engineering teams to improve reliability, incident response, performance, and operational visibility;
- Identify opportunities for scalability, reliability, security, and cloud cost optimization;
- Contribute to technical designs, platform standards, documentation, and operational runbooks;
- Lead assigned initiatives from analysis and implementation through production rollout and handover;
- Mentor engineers and promote knowledge sharing and engineering best practices.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent professional experience;
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience in a DevOps, Platform Engineering, Cloud Engineering, or similar role;
- Strong experience with Microsoft Azure and Azure DevOps;
- Hands-on experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, reusable templates, release automation, repositories, and artifacts;
- Strong knowledge of Kubernetes, preferably Azure Kubernetes Service, and containerization technologies such as Docker;
- Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates, or similar;
- Strong scripting skills using PowerShell, Bash, Python, or similar languages;
- Experience with Windows and Linux environments;
- Good understanding of observability, including logs, metrics, dashboards, alerting, and incident response;
- Experience with Datadog or a similar observability platform;
- Familiarity with Git and build automation tools such as Maven, Gradle, or NuGet;
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills;
- Ability to independently lead technical initiatives and work across multiple engineering teams.
Nice to Have
- Experience with large-scale AKS environments, KEDA, autoscaling, and cloud cost optimization;
- Experience with Datadog APM, Infrastructure Monitoring, RUM, Logs, or Synthetic Monitoring;
- Familiarity with GitOps tools such as Argo CD or Flux;
- Knowledge of secrets management, CI/CD security, and least-privilege access;
- Experience with Azure CLI, Azure PowerShell, REST APIs, JSON, and webhooks;
- Exposure to distributed systems, mobile CI/CD, platform engineering, or AI-assisted engineering workflows.
