Our mission is simple: End Cyber Risk. We’re looking for a Senior Developer - Exposure Management Platform to be part of making this happen.
Position Overview and Objective
The Arctic Wolf security operations platform ingests and processes upwards of 250 billion events a day from a wide variety of on-premise devices and cloud platforms. The security pipeline is a distributed system of loosely-coupled microservices that constitute our real-time analysis and threat detection systems. These services distill the incoming events into actionable intelligence that our Concierge Security Teams use to protect customers.
We are growing rapidly, with our data volume increasing ten-fold roughly every two years. We are looking for senior developers to join our pack and help evolve the architecture, reliability, and capabilities of our security platform. This particular role focuses on building and improving components of our Managed Risk Platform while influencing technical direction across the team.

As a Senior Developer at Arctic Wolf, you will:
- Lead the design and delivery of complex backend capabilities for real-time threat analysis and exposure management services.
- Translate ambiguous product or technical requirements into well-scoped designs, implementation plans, and production-ready software.
- Build, test, and operate scalable microservices with strong attention to reliability, observability, performance, and maintainability.
- Own production outcomes for services your team supports, including deployments, operational readiness, incident response, and continuous improvement.
- Provide technical guidance through design reviews, code reviews, mentoring, and raising engineering standards across the team.
- Collaborate with product, security operations, and engineering partners to make pragmatic technical trade-offs that support customer impact.
- Continuously learn, share knowledge, and help the team improve how it designs, builds, and operates distributed systems.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience shipping production-quality backend software, including ownership of complex services in production.
- Strong coding skills with a track record of delivering simple, maintainable solutions to complex technical problems.

- Hands-on experience with Golang is preferred; strong Java or other backend development experience is also valuable.
- Experience with PostgreSQL, Kafka, Docker, and Kubernetes/EKS is preferred.
- Comfortable leading technical design for microservices, making trade-offs, and guiding implementation across multiple engineers.
- Experienced in improving reliability, observability, performance, and operational excellence for production systems.

- Excited to work at the intersection of big data, cybersecurity, and real-time systems.
