We are seeking a Report Developer to support a migration initiative moving reporting assets from SAP BusinessObjects (BO) to Qlik.

This role combines hands-on report development with the ability to debug, re-engineer, and optimize existing code as part of the transition.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze existing BusinessObjects reports, including Web Intelligence, Crystal Reports, and universes, to understand data logic, calculations, and business rules.
• Redesign and rebuild reports in QlikView and/or Qlik Sense while preserving or improving original functionality.
• Debug and troubleshoot issues in legacy BusinessObjects reports and newly developed Qlik applications.
• Re-engineer inefficient or outdated code and logic, including SQL, scripts, and expressions, to align with Qlik best practices.
• Validate migrated reports against source BusinessObjects output to ensure data accuracy and parity.
• Document migration mappings, logic changes, and known discrepancies.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to clarify requirements and confirm report specifications.
• Optimize Qlik data models and load scripts for improved performance.

Required Skills and Experience

• Proven experience developing and maintaining reports in SAP BusinessObjects, including Web Intelligence, Crystal Reports, and Universe Design.
• Strong hands-on experience with Qlik Sense and/or QlikView, including data modeling, set analysis, scripting, and expressions.
• Solid SQL skills for querying, troubleshooting, and data validation.
• Demonstrated ability to debug and re-engineer existing code and reports rather than building only from scratch.
• Experience with data migration or platform transition projects; business intelligence tool migration experience is strongly preferred.
• Understanding of ETL and data modeling concepts.
• Strong attention to detail when performing data validation and quality assurance.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

• Experience with NPrinting or other Qlik reporting extensions.
• Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python or VBScript for automation.
• Prior experience migrating BusinessObjects to Qlik or similar business intelligence platforms, such as BusinessObjects to Power BI or Tableau.
• Knowledge of relational databases, including Oracle and SQL Server.

Soft Skills

• Comfortable working independently in ambiguous, legacy-code environments.
• Strong communicator who can explain technical trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders.
• Detail-oriented and methodical when performing validation and testing.
