Sobre este puesto de Senior Data Analyst en Go1 Australia

Go1 Australia · Presencial · Australia

At Go1, we’re on a mission to help organizations deliver learning and development in more relevant, timely, and effective ways. From a small startup to now a global brand - we’ve grown by solving hard problems, embracing ambiguity, and never standing still.

If you thrive on change, get energy from big, complex challenges, and are excited to grow fast alongside smart, ambitious people, then Go1 might be exactly what you’re looking for. We offer autonomy with accountability, space to experiment, and the opportunity to shape solutions that impact millions of learners worldwide. We don’t have all the answers — and that’s the point. We figure it out together. Every line of code, every conversation, every bold idea helps move us closer to our mission: to enable individuals, organizations, and society to progress. There’s still so much to build — and even more to discover. Go there with us...

We’re looking for a Senior Data Analyst to turn complex product and business questions into clear, decision-ready evidence.

This is a hands-on senior individual-contributor role for someone who combines technical depth with strong judgement: defining what matters, making the evidence reliable and helping teams act on it. You will work closely with Product, Engineering, Customer, Marketing and commercial partners to understand what is happening, why it matters and what should happen next.

Go1 is investing in product-led growth and new product experiences, including Morgan by Go1—our workforce-enablement product that helps organisations turn learning signals into practical follow-through. To learn quickly from that work, we need clear measurement, well-designed instrumentation and confidence in the metrics that guide our choices. You’ll help create that clarity. Your work will improve the quality of product and business decisions, strengthen the analytical products people rely on and lift capability across the analyst cohort.

How you'll fit into our team:

You will join Go1’s Data Intelligence team: a cross-functional group of Data Analysts, Business Analysts, Data Engineers and Data Scientists working alongside teams across the business. Initially, your focus will be product-led growth and new product experiences. You will work beyond reporting...starting with the decision that matters, identifying what needs to be measured, designing a proportionate analytical approach and helping partners use the evidence.

As a Senior Data Analyst, you will lead complex domain analytics while being a generous technical peer. You will help other analysts develop stronger judgement through solution design, peer review and practical problem-solving, while drawing on Data Engineering and Data Science expertise when a question needs deeper specialist support. This role suits someone who enjoys ambiguity, asks sharp questions and can balance pace with rigour. You will not own business decisions or operational change, but your work will make the trade-offs, evidence and implications much clearer for the people who do.

Where you'll make an impact:

  • Partner with Product, Engineering and business stakeholders to turn ambiguous goals into meaningful decisions, measurable questions and practical analytical approaches.
  • Lead analysis, metric models, dashboards and reports that improve product, customer and commercial decisions.
  • Define success measures for new initiatives and product experiences; identify gaps in event tracking, instrumentation, data quality or availability; and work with engineering partners to resolve them.
  • Frame domain opportunities, compare options and make trade-offs in confidence, pace, usability and reuse visible.
  • Build and own SQL-based analytical products—from metric definition, documentation and validation through to monitoring use, improving what matters and consolidating or retiring products that no longer support a meaningful decision.
  • Communicate rigorous, accessible evidence to technical and non-technical audiences, including the recommendation, confidence level, limitations and action or decision that follows.
  • Influence senior functional partners through clear evidence and constructive challenge.
  • Guide and mentor analysts through solution design, peer review and technical problem-solving, creating reusable patterns that improve quality and confidence across the team.
  • Use AI tools thoughtfully to improve analytical effectiveness, while applying independent judgement, validating material outputs and protecting sensitive information.

In your first three months, you will:

  • Build strong working relationships with priority Product, Engineering and business partners.
  • Understand the most important domain decisions, existing analytical products, core metrics and material data gaps.
  • Deliver early value on a defined analytical problem, with clear assumptions, evidence and next actions.
  • Develop a practical view of where better measurement, instrumentation or analytical practice will have the greatest impact.

By six to twelve months, you will:

  • Lead high-impact analytical work from problem definition through to recommendation, adoption and review.
  • Improve the reliability and usefulness of measurement for priority initiatives, with clearer ownership and quality mechanisms.
  • Make the adoption and decision-use of priority analytical products visible, using that evidence to improve or simplify the analytical estate.
  • Be recognised as a trusted analytical and technical guide for partners and peers, improving practice beyond your own delivery.

What you'll bring to the role:

  • Strong SQL capability and confidence working with complex, imperfect and evolving data.
  • Experience building and maintaining analytical solutions in a modern data warehouse and BI environment. We are open to your platform background; transferable judgement matters more than one specific tool.
  • Demonstrated experience taking a stakeholder problem from discovery through to insight, recommendation and decision support.
  • Experience partnering with Product and Engineering on metrics, event tracking, data availability, instrumentation or implementation quality.
  • Strong analytical judgement, including the ability to apply and interpret appropriate statistical methods and communicate limitations clearly.
  • Experience creating metric models, analyses, dashboards or reports with clear definitions, validation, documentation and ownership.
  • Evidence of senior-level contribution through mentoring, quality assurance, reusable standards or technical leadership.
  • Clear written and verbal communication with technical and non-technical audiences.
  • A practical, curious approach to solving problems: able to move work forward with imperfect information while maintaining a high bar for evidence and impact.

Nice to have:

  • Python experience for analysis, automation or modelling.
  • Product analytics, product-led growth, experimentation, engagement measurement or B2B SaaS experience.
  • Exposure to data science methods and sound judgement about when specialist support is needed.
  • Experience with Databricks or comparable modern data-platform tooling.
  • Experience working in a fast-moving, remote-first and cross-functional environment.

What the role is not:

This is not a people-management role or a role focused solely on dashboard production. It is for someone who can pair hands-on analytical craft with product judgement, senior partnership and a genuine instinct to lift the capability around them.
