Job Summary
ProCogia is looking for a Senior Cloud Platform Engineer with strong hands-on DevOps and cloud engineering experience who can design, build, operate, and improve modern enterprise platforms. This is not a pure operations role. You will work across cloud infrastructure, Linux, containers, Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, observability, security, troubleshooting, and platform architecture. You will support enterprise client environments, ProCogia products, analytics platforms, and emerging AI infrastructure. We value strong engineering fundamentals, systems thinking, curiosity, and the ability to quickly learn and take ownership of unfamiliar technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate secure, scalable, reliable cloud environments, primarily on AWS, with exposure to Azure and other enterprise platforms.
- Contribute to cloud and platform architecture across availability, scalability, security, disaster recovery, performance, and cost optimization.
- Build and maintain infrastructure using Terraform and Infrastructure as Code.
- Design and improve CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and operational workflows.
- Build and operate containerized environments using Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm.
- Administer and troubleshoot Linux systems, networking, IAM, authentication, certificates, secrets, and access controls.
- Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, dashboards, and reliability practices.
- Lead or support production troubleshooting, incident response, root-cause analysis, and long-term remediation.
- Support cloud migrations, platform upgrades, infrastructure modernization, and reusable platform patterns.
- Support enterprise analytics platforms such as Posit and work with engineering teams on MLOps, generative AI, GPU, and emerging AI infrastructure.
- Work directly with clients to translate requirements into architectures, implementation plans, estimates, and technical solutions.
- Contribute to architecture reviews, engineering standards, technical proposals, and team knowledge sharing.
What You Bring
- 5+ years in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, Platform Engineering, SRE, Infrastructure Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong production experience with AWS, Linux, Terraform/IaC, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD.
- Strong scripting or programming skills in Python, Bash, PowerShell, Go, or similar.
- Experience with cloud networking, IAM, security, monitoring, observability, incident management, and troubleshooting.
- Experience designing reliable, scalable production environments.
- Strong systems thinking and ability to contribute to platform and infrastructure architecture.
- Strong communication, ownership, and client-facing skills.
- Ability to quickly learn unfamiliar enterprise technologies.
- Ability to work five days per week from our Vancouver office.
Preferred Experience: Experience in one or more of the following is an asset:
- Azure or AWS GovCloud
- Helm, CloudFormation/CDK, Ansible, or Puppet
- Xacta, NIST RMF, FedRAMP, GxP, or other regulated environments
- Posit, Databricks, or enterprise data platforms
- Cloud migrations and infrastructure modernization
- MLOps, generative AI, GPU, or AI infrastructure
