What you’ll do
As a Senior Civil Engineer in our Buildings Civil team, based in Adelaide or Melbourne, you’ll lead civil engineering design and delivery across multidisciplinary projects in the health, education, defence, civic, commercial and community sectors. - Lead civil engineering design and delivery for building and infrastructure projects, including site development, drainage, pavements and access design
- Establish and communicate the civil design philosophy, providing clear technical direction to engineers and designers
- Review engineering calculations, technical reports, drawings and specifications, and certify or sign off work where your registration permits
- Coordinate civil design outputs with structural, mechanical, electrical and architectural disciplines, and contribute to project and client meetings
- Identify and resolve design challenges while supporting project delivery, quality and safety objectives
- Provide technical leadership and mentoring, with scope to grow into formal people leadership, client relationships and work-winning responsibilities
Your experience and expertise
- At least six years' of experience in civil engineering, ideally within a consulting environment.
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering (or equivalent).
- Demonstrated experience leading civil design and delivery for buildings, land development, precinct or infrastructure projects, preferably in a consulting environment
- Strong technical leadership, multidisciplinary coordination, communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to guide and mentor developing engineers
- Experience using civil engineering software such as Civil 3D, 12D, AutoCAD or similar will be highly advantageous.
- Defence or defence-adjacent project experience is advantageous but not essential.
