Sobre este puesto de Senior Campaign Operations Manager en Carwow
OUR MISSION
To become the car-changing destination of choice. By combining technology, media and deep automotive expertise, we've turned how people buy, sell, advertise and lease cars on its head.
What started as a simple reviews site is now one of the largest online car-changing destinations in Europe. Last year alone we grew over 50% with nearly £3bn worth of cars bought on site, while £1.8bn of cars were listed for sale through our Sell My Car service.
In 2024 we went big and acquired Autovia - creators of AutoExpress and Evo magazines - doubling our audience overnight. Together we now have one of the biggest YouTube channels in the world with almost 10m subscribers and over 1.1 billion annual views, while we sell 1.2 million print copies of our magazines and have an annual web content reach over 350million.
And we’re a long way from done!
CAMPAIGN OPERATIONS @ CARWOW
The Campaign Operations team sits at the heart of Carwow’s OEM and Media business. We turn ambitious commercial ideas into high-quality digital advertising campaigns that deliver strong results for our clients and meaningful revenue for Carwow.
We work closely with Sales, Product, Data, Marketing, Engineering, editorial and external partners to deliver campaigns across Carwow’s automotive media portfolio. Our mission is to make campaign delivery accurate, efficient and scalable while continuously improving how we work through better processes, technology and innovation.
YOUR MISSION
As a Senior Campaign Operations Manager, your role will be split roughly equally between two areas: campaign delivery, and ad tech.
Campaign delivery (around 50%): You’ll own the delivery and optimisation of client advertising campaigns across Carwow Studio brands and Carwow. You’ll make sure campaigns launch accurately, perform against their KPIs and give clients an excellent experience after the sale.
Ad tech and data (around 50%): You’ll be the team’s go-to expert for our advertising technology and campaign data. You’ll lead the troubleshooting of ad serving, creative rendering, tracking and data discrepancy issues. You’ll also maintain and improve our ad tech setup and the data flows that power our reporting. Working with Product, Engineering and Data teams, you’ll help develop and integrate new tools, features and automated reporting.
Success in this role means consistently delivering high-quality campaigns while building a reliable, efficient and scalable ad tech and data foundation for Campaign Operations. The role offers a clear path to progress to IC4 Campaign Operations Specialist.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Campaign delivery
Own the end-to-end delivery of advertising campaigns across channels, from planning and setup through to optimisation, reporting and post-campaign analysis.
Ensure campaigns are implemented accurately, launched on time and delivered in line with agreed objectives and KPIs.
Monitor performance and lead optimisation with internal teams and clients to meet and exceed campaign KPIs.
Act as the primary point of contact for clients after the sale, covering campaign performance and technical questions.
Produce high-quality reports and post-campaign analysis decks, and present findings and recommendations to internal stakeholders and clients.
Identify commercial opportunities, such as upweights, extensions and optimisations, that deliver additional value for clients and Carwow.
Ad tech and data
Proactively troubleshoot technical issues across ad serving platforms, creative rendering, campaign tracking and data, minimising delivery and revenue risk.
Lead ad tech projects, including implementing new tools, resolving ad server and reporting discrepancies and managing technical integrations.
Maintain and improve our ad tech setup and the data flows behind campaign reporting, ensuring accuracy across internal and third-party sources.
Partner with Product, Engineering and Data teams to develop and integrate new ad tech features, tools and automated reporting.
Drive the adoption of automation, AI and new technology across Campaign Operations while maintaining strong quality-control standards.
Continuously review processes to improve efficiency, accuracy and scalability, and share ad tech and data knowledge across the team.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
Proven experience managing and delivering digital advertising campaigns within a publisher, media owner, agency or ad tech environment.
Strong hands-on knowledge of Google Ad Manager, and experience with a range of creative formats including video, display and HTML5.
Confidence troubleshooting technical issues across ad serving, creative rendering, tracking and reporting data.
A solid understanding of programmatic advertising, yield management and optimisation techniques.
Experience leading or contributing to ad tech or data projects, such as implementing new tools, resolving discrepancies or managing technical integrations.
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to work across multiple data sources and turn campaign data into clear insights and recommendations.
Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple campaigns, projects, stakeholders and deadlines at the same time.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accurate, high-quality work in setup, troubleshooting and reporting.
Confident communication and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to explain campaign performance and technical issues clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
A commercially minded, collaborative approach and a genuine interest in improving processes through technology, data, automation and AI.
BONUS POINTS
Experience in the automotive, publishing or digital media industry.
Certifications in Google Ad Manager, Google Ads, programmatic platforms or other ad tech tools.
Experience with data and reporting tools such as BigQuery, SQL, Looker or similar.
Knowledge of paid social, YouTube, off-site display or demand-generation and lead-generation campaigns.
Familiarity with platforms such as DV360, Meta Ads Manager, Salesforce, Driftrock or audience-management platforms.
Previous involvement in process-improvement, automation or AI projects.
WHY THIS MIGHT NOT BE FOR YOU
Campaign Operations is a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, with responsibility for delivering commercially important campaigns against tight deadlines and changing priorities.
You’ll need to be comfortable managing multiple campaigns, taking ownership and proactively identifying potential issues before they affect delivery. You’ll also work closely with different teams to find solutions and should be motivated to challenge and improve existing ways of working not simply follow established processes.
