This is a hands-on role that combines day-to-day platform administration with governance, lifecycle management, automation and continuous improvement. The role partners with technology and business teams to provide scalable solutions while maintaining appropriate standards, controls and platform stability.

- Manage projects and spaces, schemes, workflows, screens, fields, permissions, notifications, issue types, service portals, queues, SLAs and knowledge bases.
- Maintain platform health through monitoring, housekeeping, indexing, log review, capacity planning and proactive remediation.
- Manage user access, groups, roles and administrative privileges in line with least-privilege and segregation-of-duties principles.
- Own the administration and lifecycle of Marketplace applications, including evaluation, licensing, compatibility testing, upgrades and removal.
- Maintain accurate platform documentation, configuration records, runbooks, support procedures and technical standards.
Governance, security and compliance
- Define and enforce standards for project, space and repository creation, naming, ownership, permissions, retention and archiving.

- Coordinate vulnerability remediation, security patches, certificates, platform hardening and supported-version compliance for Data Center/on-premises instances.
Automation, integration and continuous improvement
- Design and maintain automation rules, forms, templates, dashboards, filters and reports that improve usability and reduce manual effort.
- Build and support integrations with identity platforms, service management tools, development toolchains and business applications using native connectors, webhooks and REST APIs.
- Use scripting or Atlassian applications such as Script Runner, where approved, to implement controlled and maintainable extensions.
- Analyze platform usage, performance, licensing and support trends; recommend consolidation, optimization and cost-control opportunities.
- Translate business needs into scalable Atlassian solutions and challenge requests that would create unnecessary complexity, duplication or long-term support risk.
Lifecycle, change and resilience
- Plan, test and deliver platform upgrades, patches, application updates, configuration changes and migrations using formal change-management practices.
- Support migrations and consolidations between Cloud and Data Center/on-premises instances, including discovery, data preparation, testing, validation and cutover activities.
- Maintain backup, restore and disaster-recovery arrangements; participate in recovery testing and ensure recovery procedures remain current.
- Coordinate with infrastructure, database, network and vendor teams for Data Center hosting, performance, resilience and incident resolution.
- Manage incidents and service requests within agreed service levels, lead root-cause analysis for recurring issues and communicate clearly during service disruption.
Stakeholder support and enablement
- Act as a trusted platform adviser to engineering, IT, product, project-management and business teams.
- Provide guidance, training and self-service materials for project administrators, space owners, service teams and end users.
- Work with process owners to simplify and standardize ways of working while allowing justified business-specific requirements.
- Coordinate with Atlassian and third-party vendors on licensing, support cases, product changes and technical escalations.
