Ogilvy has been there every step of the way, shepherding the world’s most successful brands through the uncertainty and helping them adapt and stay relevant for the long-term.
We have succeeded because, despite the massive shifts that have occurred over the years, we have always operated in the way David Ogilvy envisioned. About The Role
Ogilvy is seeking a dynamic and strategic Senior Associate to join our PR & Influence team. In this role, you will be the driving force behind executing integrated public relations campaigns for world-class lifestyle brands, spanning fashion, travel, hospitality, and consumer goods.
As a Senior Associate, you will bridge the gap between strategic planning and flawless execution. You will leverage your lifestyle media connection, pitch compelling brand stories, and orchestrate impactful influencer (KOL) engagement strategies to deliver measurable buzz for our clients.
What You’ll Do (Responsibilities)
Media Relations & Pitching
- Media Pitching: Proactively pitch creative story angles, product launches, and feature profiles to lifestyle media outlets.
- Network Maintenance: Maintain and actively expand an existing network of journalists, editors, and segment producers across print, digital, and broadcast lifestyle media.
- Press Office Management: Handle daily media inquiries, manage product seeding, and oversee the development of comprehensive media lists.
KOL & Influencer Engagement
- Strategy & Selection: Identify, vet, and recommend macro- and micro-influencers who align authentically with client brand values.
- Campaign Management: Manage end-to-end KOL campaigns, including contract negotiation, content briefing, timeline management, and final deliverable tracking.
- Relationship Building: Foster long-term, organic relationships with key content creators and talent managers within the lifestyle space.
Content & Writing
- Copywriting: Draft high-quality press releases, media pitches, talking points, social copy, and briefing materials in a compelling, brand-aligned voice.
- Reviewing: Review and polish translated materials or junior team members' drafts to ensure client-ready quality.
Event Execution & Project Management
- Event Management: Lead the on-the-ground execution of press conferences, product launches, media tastings, and influencer experiential events.
- Account Coordination: Manage day-to-day project timelines, ensure deadlines are met, and oversee the compilation of client coverage reports and monthly retainers.
What You’ll Need
We're seeking someone who doesn't just meet expectations but exceed them with passion and brilliance. If you're ready to make your mark, here's what will set you apart:
Educational Background: A degree in Public Relations, Advertising, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Business Administration, or related disciplines.
Experience: 3-5 years of experience in PR, Social Media, Online Publication or Digital Marketing.
Bilingual Proficiency: Fluent in both English and Cantonese, with exceptional copywriting and editing skills essential for impactful communication.
Strategic Mindset: A curious individual with strong analytical and critical thinking abilities, adept at asking the right questions and developing effective approaches to challenges.
Creative Driver: Experienced in driving creative campaigns and managing video production projects from concept to delivery.
Trend Spotter: On top of local trends and social media happenings, always knowing what’s "now" and "next."
Team Player: Positive and approachable team player who prioritises team success over individual glory and is a natural communicator who builds strong relationships.
Detail-minded Organizer: Well-organized and capable of managing multiple workstreams without losing focus.
