What You Will Do:

Accounting and Financial Close

• Handle day-to-day accounting activities for the UK operations.

• Prepare, review, and post journal entries with appropriate supporting documentation.

• Perform month-end and year-end closing activities in line with the reporting calendar.

• Ensure completeness and accuracy of general ledger balances and financial records.

Reconciliations and Fixed Assets

• Prepare and maintain balance sheet account reconciliations and follow up on reconciling items through closure.

• Manage fixed asset accounting, including additions, disposals, depreciation, and reconciliation of the fixed asset register to the general ledger.

Financial Analysis and Reporting

• Analyse profit and loss accounts and provide clear explanations for material variances.

• Prepare supporting schedules, reports, and analysis required for management review.

Audit and Controls

• Support internal and statutory audits, including preparation and timely submission of Prepared by Client (PBC) schedules and supporting documents.

• Coordinate with auditors, respond to information requests, and track audit queries to closure.

• Liaise with bankers and support treasury operations.

• Implement and maintain internal controls and financial procedures to promote accuracy, compliance, and process discipline.

What You Will Need:

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

• Postgraduate degree in Commerce, CA Intermediate, or MBA in Finance

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

• 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in accounting and finance activities comparable to the responsibilities described above.

• Hands-on experience in handling internal audits, statutory audits, or external audit requirements.

• Excellent analytical, communication, and documentation skills.

What Would Be Nice To Have:

PREFERRED SKILLS

• Exposure to ERP systems such as SAP/Oracle/Peoplesoft/Workday.

• Exposure to accounting for international or UK operations would be preferred.
