Senior Applications Engineer, GTM Systems

Position Summary

As part of HackerOne’s Enterprise Data & AI team, the Senior Applications Engineer, GTM Systems will play a critical role in designing, building, and optimizing the systems that power how our Go-To-Market (GTM) teams operate. You’ll focus on hands-on development and integration across our Salesforce ecosystem and connected applications, enabling data-driven decisions and operational excellence.

In this role, you’ll apply an AI-First mindset to automate workflows, simplify complexity, and scale revenue processes that empower our global Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success teams. You will collaborate closely with system owners and stakeholders across RevOps, Finance, and Marketing to deliver high-quality, sustainable solutions that make HackerOne’s GTM engine faster, smarter, and more resilient.

What You Will Do

Success in this role will be achieved by delivering on the responsibilities below, aligned with HackerOne’s Talent Principles — AI-First, Change Agility, Data-Driven Decision Making, and First Principles Problem Solving:

• Lead the end-to-end design and delivery of scalable, secure, and intelligent enterprise systems that support HackerOne’s transformation into an AI-first organization.

• Develop, configure, and maintain Salesforce Sales Cloud, CPQ, CLM, and other Enterprise, GTM, and Security applications to drive business efficiency and scalability.

• Partner across business and engineering teams to identify high-leverage opportunities for automation, integration, and system modernization.

• Drive the architecture and execution of platform-level capabilities, leveraging AI and modern tooling to reduce manual effort, improve decision-making, and increase system resilience.

• Provide technical leadership to internal engineers and external development partners, ensuring design quality, operational excellence, and long-term maintainability.

• Shape and contribute to our incident and on-call response strategy, playbooks, and processes, focusing on building systems that fail gracefully and recover quickly.

• Act as a multiplier to mentor other engineers, advocate for technical excellence, and promote a culture of innovation, curiosity, and continuous improvement.

• Champion effective change management and enablement, ensuring systems are not only launched, but adopted, understood, and evolved.

Minimum Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in an Engineering, Science, Systems, or similar role w/ proven track record of leading the design, development, and deployment of AI-First Enterprise Systems.

• Extensive hands-on experience designing, building, configuring, integrating, and maintaining AI-first enterprise systems, including Salesforce, Workday, Slack, Atlassian, Ironclad, Luminance, Box, Monday, Jira and more.

• Experience working with SSO protocols (e.g., SAML, OIDC, SCIM), enterprise identity tools (e.g., Okta), and MDM platforms in a fast-paced environment.

• Experience developing integrations and automations using tools like Workato.

• Experience with Salesforce Sales Cloud, CPQ, Stigg, Salesloft, and data enrichment platforms (e.g., Clay, ZoomInfo, etc.).

• Passion for working backwards from the Customer and empathy for business stakeholders.

• Proven track record of having substantial impact across the company, demonstrating your ability to drive positive change, and achieve significant results.

• Thrive on solving ambiguous problem statements in an early-stage environment.

• Excellent communication skills, and can present data-driven narratives in verbal, presentation, and written formats.

Preferred Qualifications

• Salesforce Administrator or Platform Developer certification(s).

• Experience with AI or workflow automation tools that enhance system efficiency and scalability.

• Familiarity with modern data visualization or analytics tools (e.g., Looker).

• Exposure to integration frameworks, REST APIs, or middleware such as Workato, Fivetran.

3,040,000 - 3,420,000
