ABOUT THE JOB

We are seeking motivated Senior Backend Engineer to provide technical security consultant services for the purposes of allowing the bank to service mainframe security day to day BAU requirements, strategy, design, development, delivery and maintenance of technological solutions to meet business needs.

YOUR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ability to build effective relationships and enable the successful implementation of technical strategies

• Use business and technical expertise to define and implement technical solutions to support business needs

• Provide services to support, guide and assure design of solutions in line with agreed strategies and directions

• Confer with systems users to develop areas of change in requirements, that result in greater efficiency, systems integration or cost reduction

• Support specific project goals by providing expertise and technical assurance for key system components to support costing efforts and to ensure the integrity of design.

• Supporting the PM and Lead Technical Security Analyst in documenting and managing the Scope, Benefits and success criteria across for multiple Mainframe Security Uplift Program Projects & Initiatives.

• Manage all aspects of high level and detailed functional and non-functional requirements and use case gathering including workshopping with Technical SME’s, documenting and traceability through to Testing & Implementation.

• Test Planning, Test cycle management and documentation, Test Summary reporting and approval sign-of management. Defect tracking and fix remediation coordination.

• Support and document all aspects of the PRR process.

• Contribute to project Rally administration and quality assurance for the MIS Delivery capability.

• Prepare, manage and update relevant project documentation, Confluence and SharePoint.

• Technical and Business process analysis, creation and documentation including Signavio.

• Sound understanding of risk management, controls and standard operating procedures

• Strong knowledge of policies, regulations and obligations within the context of technology and the business operations that it supports.

• Ability to muti-task

• Excellent documentation and communication skills.

YOUR SKILL AND EXPERIENCE

• 5+ years' experience as an Application Engineer within enterprise environment.

• Excellent English communication and documentation skills

• Technical Skills: Java JDK or NodeJS

• REST API development and API documentation

• Familiarity with Cloud, DevOps tools (Git/GitHub, Ansible, AWS, Red Hat Linux) to build, deploy, and manage applications and services; and experience supporting IBM zD&T environments 

• Mainframe & z/OS (JCL, ISPF, SDSF, RACF, REXX, zOSMF, ZOWE)

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management capabilities.

• Experience undertaking discovery activities with the objective of defining business goals and objectives for the development and implementation of IT security-based initiatives. 

• Tertiary qualification in a Technology discipline or related fiel

• Relevant Financial Services Industry experience advantageous
