Senior Analyst - Accounts PayableSummary:
We are looking for a skilled and detail-focused Senior Analyst – Accounts Payable to manage U.S. Accounts Payable activities and coordinate between U.S. stakeholder and the AP Shared Services team in Bangalore.The successful candidate will act as the subject matter expert for critical AP processes and systems while leading reporting initiatives and supporting continuous improvement across the Procure-to-Pay function.
The role also requires working closely with teams like Procurement, Tax, Vendor Management, IT, and Finance to improve the complete Procure-to-Pay (P2P) process. The candidate will be a key expert for AP systems, processes, and procedures.
Responsibilities Include:
- Manage U.S. year-end 1099 and 1042 reporting requirements, ensuring compliance with applicable tax regulations.
- Serve as the subject matter expert for Ariba, Virtual Cards (Citibank and Truist VPA), CASS, Tellennium, and Legal Tracker.
- Administer virtual card programs, resolve processing issues, and collaborate with IT, Procurement, and suppliers.
- Perform Blackline reconciliations for Truist, Citibank, and Consignment accounts.
- Set up, maintain, and execute recurring journal/payment entries while ensuring proper approvals and documentation.
- Support internal and external audit requirements.
- Support AP transformation initiatives, automation projects, system upgrades, and implementation of new tools or processes
- Act as a subject matter expert for AP systems, workflows, and P2P processes
- Support audit activities by providing required documentation, reconciliations, and process insights.
- Support the team lead for future MERP development.
Qualifications:
The following are required for the role
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance or a related field.
- 9+ years of experience in Accounts Payable or related finance roles.
- Strong understanding of U.S. AP processes, including invoice processing, vendor management, payments, and reconciliations
- Experience working with SAP or similar ERP systems
- Knowledge of AP controls, compliance requirements, and process improvement methodologies.
- Experience with automated invoice processing solutions (Ariba preferred).
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills with the ability to analyse and manipulate data.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong service-oriented mindset with initiative-taking and critical thinking abilities.
- Experience in a manufacturing or shared services environment is preferred.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and collaborate across global teams.
- Flexible rotation shifts as per process requirements
