You will be working as a Senior AI Enablement Engineer in our Technology Division, which is now composed of 75+ people in Lagos, Bangalore, Paris, Türkiye, and remotely across the globe.

As a Senior AI Enablement Engineer at FairMoney, you will drive the adoption of AI-assisted engineering practices across our technology teams. You will work closely with engineering squads and technical leaders to identify opportunities where AI can improve development workflows, developer productivity, automation, and the overall software delivery process.

This is a hands-on role for an experienced engineer who enjoys building, experimenting, and solving complex problems with AI. You will also help shape how AI is adopted across the engineering organisation by developing tools, workflows, and best practices that enable teams to work more effectively.

We are looking forward to having you work on:

· Managing the adoption of AI-assisted engineering practices across engineering squads;

· Working closely with engineers and technical leaders to identify and implement high-impact AI use cases;

· Building scripts, automations, internal tools, and developer workflows that improve engineering productivity;

· Evaluating AI coding tools, agents, and emerging technologies and integrating relevant solutions into engineering workflows;

· Developing reusable AI-enabled tools, workflows, and best practices that can scale across engineering teams;

· Providing hands-on technical guidance and enablement to squads adopting AI-assisted development;

· Driving continuous improvement by measuring the impact of AI initiatives and identifying new opportunities to improve engineering efficiency.

🔧 Our Technical Stack

· Our customer-facing product is an Android application;

· It communicates with Ruby on Rails or Go-lang backends (Sidekiq, RSpec);

· Our ML pipeline is API-Flask (Python);

· We are hosted on AWS: Kubernetes, SNS, SQS, Lambdas, RDS Aurora MySQL and PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, S3, and Kinesis;

· Prototype of a data warehouse on GCP (GCS, BigQuery, Cloud Composer);

· We run our CI/CD pipeline with GitHub Actions;

· AI-assisted development and developer productivity tooling.

Requirements

Basic Qualifications

· 5+ years of experience in software engineering, developer tooling, automation, or a related technical role;

· Strong hands-on experience with AI-assisted software development and modern AI coding tools;

· Strong programming and scripting skills, with proficiency in at least one language such as Python, Go, JavaScript, or Ruby;

· Proven experience building internal tools, automations, developer platforms, or engineering workflows;

· Strong understanding of software engineering practices, architecture, testing, CI/CD, and development workflows;

· Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to translate complex engineering challenges into practical solutions;

· Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with engineers and technical leaders;

· Experience taking ownership of technical initiatives and driving them from idea to implementation.

Preferred Qualifications

· Experience working with AI coding assistants, AI agents, LLM-based developer tools, or similar technologies;

· Experience designing and implementing AI-enabled developer tools or platforms at scale;

· Experience integrating LLMs, AI APIs, agents, or third-party tools into engineering workflows;

· Experience driving the adoption of new engineering tools, technologies, or practices across multiple teams;

· Experience working with cloud providers, preferably AWS, alternatively GCP/Azure;

· Strong understanding of microservices and modern software development architectures;

· Experience measuring developer productivity, engineering efficiency, or the impact of AI and automation initiatives;

· Experience mentoring engineers and providing technical leadership across engineering teams.
