Sobre este puesto de Senior Accountant en Skild AI
Company Overview
At Skild AI, we are building the world's first general purpose robotic intelligence that is robust and adapts to unseen scenarios without failing. We believe massive scale through data-driven machine learning is the key to unlocking these capabilities for the widespread deployment of robots within society. Our team consists of individuals with varying levels of experience and backgrounds, from new graduates to domain experts. Relevant industry experience is important, but ultimately less so than your demonstrated abilities and attitude. We are looking for passionate individuals who are eager to explore uncharted waters and contribute to our innovative projects.
Position Overview
The Senior Accountant will be the primary accounting resource for Skild AI's US and international operations, working hands-on across accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing, collections, payroll, and general ledger. This is an operational, individual-contributor role for someone equally comfortable processing an AP invoice and closing the books at month-end. You'll partner closely with the US-based Controller and Finance leadership to ensure accurate, timely financial reporting, and you'll take ownership working independently across time zones.
Responsibilities
- Process vendor invoices end-to-end (receipt, coding, approval, payment) and manage weekly payment runs, vendor records, and statement reconciliations
- Code all AP transactions to the correct cost center and GL account in Rillet and Rootstock ERP
- Generate and issue customer invoices, apply cash receipts, and maintain the AR subledger in QuickBooks, reconciling AR aging weekly
- Coordinate with the US Controller on revenue recognition treatment for customer contracts under ASC 606
- Own collections end-to-end: correspondence, activity tracking, escalations, and monitoring DSO trends for the Controller
- Own the full-cycle general ledger for the India subsidiary, including journal entries (accruals, prepayments, depreciation, intercompany) and monthly balance sheet reconciliations
- Lead month-end and quarter-end close for the India entity, delivering accurate financials and variance analysis within the close calendar
- Process and reconcile monthly payroll for India-based employees in QuickBooks, including statutory deductions (PF, ESI, PT, TDS) and coordination with HR on headcount changes
- Maintain audit-ready documentation under US GAAP and support external auditors during the annual audit
- Assist with sales and use, property, and income taxes alongside outside tax advisors, and ensure intercompany transactions are properly documented and reconciled monthly
- Serve as the primary Rillet and Rootstock user across entities, maintaining chart of accounts and vendor/customer masters, and drive process improvements and system migrations as the finance stack evolves
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- 5-8 years of hands-on accounting experience, with at least 2-3 years in a similar full-cycle role
- Proficiency in QuickBooks (Online), with demonstrated practical, day-to-day usage
- Strong working knowledge of US GAAP, particularly revenue recognition (ASC 606), accrual accounting, and financial statement preparation
- Proven experience personally processing AP, AR, collections, payroll entries, and GL journal entries — not just in a supervisory capacity
- Experience with full-cycle month-end and year-end close processes
- High proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, reconciliation tools)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with US-based leadership across time zones
- High attention to detail and personal accountability for accuracy
- CPA, CPA qualification, or in progress a plus
- Experience with intercompany accounting and multi-entity consolidations a plus
- Exposure to ERP migration or implementation projects a plus
- Experience in the technology or SaaS industry a plus
