Work Location/ Schedule: Hybrid 4 days/week on-site at our Vernon HQ

The Role: Senior Accountant

Reporting to the Accounting Manager, the Senior Accountant will play a key role in the monthly close, financial reporting, audit support, and continuous improvement of accounting processes and controls. This is a hands-on role for a high-performing accountant who thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes ownership, and is motivated to make impact.

The ideal candidate is intellectually curious and proactive—you dig into data and transactions, identify root causes, and bring forward solutions rather than simply identifying problems. You will own key accounting areas, partner cross-functionally to resolve issues, and work directly with external auditors to prepare and present audit-ready workpapers and analyses.

What You’ll Do:

  • Own assigned areas of the monthly, quarterly, and annual close, including journal entries, reconciliations, roll-forwards, flux analyses, and supporting schedules.
  • Own key accounting areas, including revenue, lease accounting, accrued expenses, prepaid expenses, and PP&E/fixed assets.
  • Prepare clear, accurate, and audit-ready workpapers and work directly with external auditors to present analyses, explain conclusions, and resolve requests.
  • Independently investigate discrepancies and unusual activity, identify root causes, and drive issues through resolution.
  • Proactively identify accounting, process, control, and data issues.
  • Use NetSuite independently to research transactions, run and download reports and saved searches, trace general ledger activity, and analyze transaction-level data.
  • Analyze financial results and large data sets to identify trends, anomalies, reconciling items, and significant period-over-period fluctuations.
  • Partner cross-functionally to understand business activity, obtain necessary information, resolve accounting matters, and drive open items to completion.
  • Apply U.S. GAAP and company accounting policies, researching accounting guidance when the appropriate treatment is not immediately clear.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve the speed, accuracy, scalability, and controls of the close and other accounting processes.

What You’ll Need:

  • 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a fast-paced, high-growth, public-company, or public-company-ready environment.
  • Experience in consumer products or ecommerce, especially apparel and accessories, required
  • Highly competent in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel
  • Familiarity with Google Workspace, including Google Drive, Google Sheets, Gmail, and Google Calendar, is a plus.
  • Demonstrated experience owning multiple areas of the month-end close.
  • Hands-on NetSuite experience required.
  • Advanced Excel skills and demonstrated experience manipulating, reconciling, and analyzing large data sets.
  • Demonstrated experience working cross-functionally to resolve accounting and operational issues.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly explain accounting matters to both accounting and non-accounting stakeholders.
  • BS/BA degree in Finance/Accounting
  • CPA preferred

Who You Are:

  • You are a collaborative team player. You build strong relationships, communicate openly, and partner effectively across teams to solve problems and achieve shared goals.
  • You take ownership. You take initiative, follow through, and drive your work to completion without waiting for someone to tell you the next step.
  • You are intellectually curious. When something doesn’t make sense, you dig into the details, ask thoughtful questions, and work to understand the root cause.
  • You bring solutions. You identify issues early, research the facts, evaluate options, and come prepared with a recommended path forward.
  • You thrive in a fast-paced environment. You manage competing priorities, move with urgency, and consistently deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines.
  • You have a growth mindset. You seek feedback, embrace new challenges, learn quickly, and continuously look for ways to improve yourself and the processes around you.

All qualified applicants will be considered for employment without regard to race, color, religion, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, national origin, disability, age, or veteran status—in accordance with applicable international, federal, state, and local laws.

If you require accommodations during the application or interview process, please let us know. We’re here to ensure you have what you need to show up as your best self.

Still don’t know if you should apply? We get it—studies show that many women and individuals from historically underrepresented communities hold back from applying unless they meet every single requirement. At Reformation, we’re all about growth, not gatekeeping. If you’re passionate about the role and excited about making fashion more sustainable, we’d love to hear from you. If this role doesn’t totally excite you, consider applying to our general application.
